Part 18: Protecting the Matrix

Riley's POV

Me: ''BEE!''

Rockets began to fly past us. Bee, Mudflap, and Skids were trying their best to move out of the way. I looked up at the sky and when I saw a plane with markings, I knew exactly who it was.

Me: ''IT'S STARSCREAM!''

Bee turned on the right and we went down the road to the place something was being built. Rockets were flying past us and when they hit the ground, they made a lot of sand flying around.

Leo: ''Oh, God. Please, God! PLEASE GOD!''

Mikaela: ''Leo, stop freaking out!''

Sam: ''Stop freaking out!''

Simmons: ''Shut this guy up huh?''

Leo: ''Please just let me live! Just let me live!''

Me: ''LEO SHUT UP!''

Sam: ''Stop freaking out!''

Simmons: ''All right, that's it!''

Simmons took his electric shooter and shook Leo. He screamed before he passed out.

Simmons: ''I can't take that guy anymore.''

Just then Starscream landed in front of us in his robot form. He began to shoot at us, but Bee quickly moved away.

Simmons: ''Hide in the dust. Use the dust!''

Bee stop and all of us jumped out of him.

Me: ''We've got to split up. Bee, you're the decoy. You lead Decepticons away, all right?''

Bee: ''Let's get dangerous!''

Me: ''I'm gonna get Optimus.''

Sam: ''I'm coming along.''

Mikaela: ''Me too.''

Simmons: ''I'll help draw their fire with Huey and Dewey there. You get to those soldiers.''

There was a silence. We knew that there was a chance that we will not see each other ever again.

Simmons: ''I hope that dust works, kid.''

Me: ''Thank you.''

With that, I turned around and began to run with Sam and Mikaela close behind me. As we got on top of a small sanded hill the army shot two rockets in the air showing us the way.

Sam: ''Look. There it is. We got a couple of miles.''

We continue running. There was no time for resting. If Starscream was here that meant that Megatron was not so far away.

Sam: ''We still have a mile that way.''

We slide down the will and began to run between old buildings. I was running first. Sam was second and Mikaela was close behind him.

Me: ''This way.''

I said as I turned to the left side. Just then I could hear something. I looked back as I continue to run and saw something falling from the sky. As I looked closely, I saw what it was. Decepticons. They flew abuse us. Many hit the ground not so far away from us. Because I saw Starscream flying around we took cover in a small house.

Sam: ''I don't think they saw us.''

He said in whisperer.

Me: ''Okay look once it's clear we run for Optimus as fast as we can, okay?''

Mikaela: ''Okay but what if it doesn't work?''

Me: ''It's gonna work.''

Just then a transformer landed not so far away from us. We all went down and became quiet as mouses. Gian's footsteps were approaching. Mikaela covered her mouth trying not to make any sound. Sam was against the wall as I was against the wall next to the doors.

Sam took some sharp things and made a hole in the wall so he would be able to look out on the street. As he looked back at us, I asked him with sign language how many were there. When he said many, I knew that we were in trouble. The grounds were shaking as the Decepticons were walking right by the house we were hiding.

Just then I saw something small crawling from the hole Sam made. Sam saw it too and as he took it out of the hole, he showed me what it was. It was a robotic fly. Sam took hold of its head and trip it out of its body. Suddenly it became too quiet.

The top of the roof was pulled down. All three of us screamed and ran up to the other side of the house. A face of Starscream looked in the house. When he saw us, a big smile came on his face.

Starscream: ''Hello beautiful.''

I was standing in front of Sam and Mikaela protecting them. Starscream's big hand was coming my way but the wall that was behind us gave in and all three of us fell back.

Sam: ''UP! UP! UP!''

We all stood up and began to run. Starscream began to destroy the house so he could get us. Mikaela was running first as I was running last. We went upstairs to another building. One Decepticon almost hit me with his giant hook.

Starscream: ''We must not harm her!''

As we came to the end of the building there was no way back. Just forward. There was another building close to us and we will have to jump.

Me: ''Jump!''

I yelled and all three of us jumped. The landing was hard but because we did not stop on the roof, we all rolled down the house making a landing even harder. But this was our way to get away from Decepticons who did not know where we went. We took a cover in another house which was looking at the battlefield.

Me: ''We got a half-mile left.''

Sam: ''The soldiers don't know that we are here.''

Me: ''We need to go now!''

I said and we began to run again. We were taking covers behind the buildings because the Decepticons were everywhere.

Voice: ''SAM! RILEY!''

My head snapped to the left. I was running down the hill when I spotted mom and dad running towards us away from a robot dog.

Dad: ''SAM! RILEY!''

Sam: ''DAD!''

We were running towards each other but when an electronic thudding sound came from somewhere, I stop making Sam and Mikaela stop as well. Big red Decepticon jumped in the air and landed just a few meters away from us making all three of us fall. The robot was about to shoot at Sam and Mikaela but I came in front of them and placed my hands in the air.

Me: ''WAIT!''
