Part 22: Big Question

Riley's POV

A week has passed since the Fallen failed to blow up the sun. Megatron and other Decepticons diapered without a trace. I took a break from college, so I came back home. Thanks, the lord my room was still there. Sam took a weak off as well and most of his time he spends with Mikaela. What can you do love right? Well, I was with Optimus every day. Mom and dad took well when I told them that my boyfriend was a robot from another galaxy. They could see how much he loved me and how much I loved him.

Today was the last day before I go back to college when Optimus surprised me by taking me on a date. I quickly went upstairs to get ready. I knew exactly what kind of dress and shoes I was going to wear. I decided to dress the same way I dress on our first date. Thanks to Mikaela I brought half of my wardrobe back home. When I was done, I looked at myself in the mirror. I was dressing just the same as that day. The only thing that was different was the Autobot necklace that was around my neck. 

As I came to the stairs I looked down and saw Optimus waiting for me. The moment that he heard me he turned around and a big smile came on his face. As I approved him, he took my right hand and kiss it. 

Optimus: ''You look beautiful.''

Me: ''Thank you.''

I said as my cheeks were getting red. He gave me a kiss on the left cheek and then we left. As we were driving Optimus asked me to close my eyes. When I asked him why he told me: ''It's a surprise.'' I closed my eyes as the smile came on my face. All this remember me so much on our first date. We were driving for some time when he stops. Before I knew it, I was in his strong arms. Carefully he placed me on the ground.

Optimus: ''Open your eyes.''

The moment I opened my eyes a big smile came on my face. Optimus brought us to the same place we went on our first date. But this time there was a table for two waiting with dinner. Because it was getting dark there were candles everywhere. This was so romantic. 

Me: ''O my God. Optimus.... it's so beautiful.''

I said as I covered my mouth with my right hand looking at him. A smile came on his face. 

Optimus: ''I'm glad you like it, love.''

We took a seat behind the table.

Me: ''How did you do all this?''

Optimus: ''Sam, Mikaela, and Autobots helped.''

Me: ''They did an amazing job.''

I said looking around.

Optimus: ''Before we began to eat this is for you.''

He said giving me a letter from his jacket pocket. I took it and the moment I began to read it my eyes got big. I quickly looked back at Optimus. This was not just an ordinary letter, but it was a letter from the army.

Optimus: ''I heard your conversation with Lennox. I know that you want to join his team. And if that is what you want to do I want you to know that I support your decision.''

Me: ''Really?

Optimus: ''Of course. I will always support you.''

I knew that college wasn't for me. But I wasn't sure how to tell Optimus about it.

Me: ''Thank you Optimus.''

Optimus nodded with a smile. We began to eat. The dinner was amazing. But as I was eating, I could see that Optimus was getting strange. It was like he was nervous. I never saw him nervous before, so I did not know how he was acting when he was nervous. As we were done, I wiped my mouth with a napkin and then I placed the napkin next to my plate.

Me: ''Thank you for bringing me here Optimus.''

I said looking at the beautiful sunset. Suddenly Optimus stood up and approached me. He offered me his hand which I of course took.

Optimus: ''I have another surprise for you.''

Me: ''Another?''

Optimus: ''Yes but I think it's better to remove your shoes.''

I removed my shoes and began to walk with Optimus who placed his hands on my eyes forbidding me to look. 'What was he planning?' We were walking for some time when Optimus stop.

Optimus: ''When I remove my eyes you can look. Okay?''

Me: ''Okay.''

Optimus removed his hands and when my eyes opened my mouth droop open. There were little candles all around us. We were standing in the middle of them with rose petals inside. 

Me: ''Optimus this is so beautiful.''

I said with a big smile. But as I turned around my mouth droop open again. Optimus was on his right knee holding a small red box in his hand.

Optimus: ''Dear Riley ever since I meet you, I knew that you were special. I never taught that I would ever fell in love. But when our eyes first made contact, I knew that you were the one. I love you Riley and I will never stop loving you. So...''

He opened the box and there I saw a beautiful diamond ring inside.

Optimus: ''So will you Riley Ann Witwicky make me the happiest transformer and marry me?''

Tears were rolling down my eyes. This was really happening. He was asking for my hand in marriage! With tears rolling down my cheeks and a big smile on my face I nodded with my hand.

Me: ''Yes.... yes... thousand times yes. I will marry you.''

With a smile, he placed the ring on my finger. Our lips meet as I placed my hands around his neck and as his hands came around my waist pulling me closer so our bodies could touch. The kiss was full of passion. I'm getting married to the love of my life. As the kiss was over Optimus picked me up and spin me around. 

Me: ''I'm getting married!'' 

I yelled to the world as Optimus chuckled and then we shared a kiss that lasted for a long time.
