Kenma's POV

I checked all my needed equipment, strapped tightly around my belt readying myself before setting out. Honestly, the amount of time they gave me was barely enough for me to rest. I had to spend an extra amount of energy as well suppressing my scent glands since my heat came the other night. I sighed and walked towards the exit.

"Hey, you ready?" I heard Keiji's voice on the other side of the hallway just as I was about to step out from one of the hidden entrances.

I nodded calmly back at him, careful to not expose my fatigued side.

"Are you sure?" A higher-pitched voice echoed from the other side of the room.

Turning in surprise, I saw Shouyou's bright orange head appear from a smaller door. From what I could tell, he had just arrived back from a task. He looked quite tired, but just like me he was trying to hide the fact that he had just lured a person with his powerful omega scent and then killing that target.

Yep, this is what we did. By the end of it, the act pretty much explains the fact that we lose any interest in physical intimacy.

He walked to me letting his head fall on my shoulder. Immediately, I felt his deadpan force weigh down. I patted his back in reassurance. That round must've been tough. I turned to Keiji.

Without any need of communication, he came over, transferring Shouyou's weight onto himself heading off towards our compartment.

I rubbed my saw eyes. Shaking of the huge force of fatigue pulling my body down. Cleansing myself of anything distracting from the next mission.

They'd given me double doses of the serum yesterday in order to stop my ferocious headache. I still didn't understand the reason, but I was soon to find out.

Swiftly making my way past the crafted maze, I left the headquarters heading off towards the given location:

XXXX, Tokyo

Kuroo's POV

I stared down at my watch, she was fifteen minutes late. Of course she was. What else could you expect from some alpha that ditches her pregnant husband to chase her own dreams?

I sighed and laid low into the fancy reserved seat she had booked.

Another fifteen minutes passed.

Ok, now that was weird.

As the clock ticked away in the background, I continued glancing around, taking in every face that appeared in the entrance.

Still no sight of her. Honestly, I didn't think my mum was the late type. Maybe she doesn't care about me and dad, but she couldn't be late to some commemorative dinner to celebrate her rise to the senator, would she?

Another five minutes.

I stood up, running out of patience. There was no way she would deliberately miss this, she still had a face to keep up. There was probably something wrong.

I walked past the packed building, exiting the sliding doors and searched the surrounding environment.

Not one in sight.

Well duh, no one. This was a fancy restaurant. The kind where it's this huge mansion with those large gardens and bush surrounding it.

Continuing my search and realized that something was off. Where were those beastly guards dressed in tuxedos that you see in movies? Ok, maybe not to that extent but they should at least have someone watching the place right?

I walked past a narrow pathway leading into another section of the residence.

A sweet smell filled the air.

The scent got stronger as I followed the drift as it led me closer towards a hidden area surrounded by many trees.

A couple of seconds passed for me to take in the situation but it was too late before I realized.

The scent was from an omega. And the omega was... seducing my mum...?

There in front of me was the large overbearing body glowering dominance looming over the omega that was skillfully wooing the alpha before.

My eyes moved down observing his men like figure to see a glinting blade only showing a little hidden well beneath his belt.

Shit, an assassin.

A sudden wave of panic swept over me and I opened my mouth to shout.

"Mum! Get away from that person he's got a kni-"

The omega turned to give me a cold stare.

I felt my air run dry.

The man before me...

I was certain.

The golden eyes that glinted like a cat's. Everything from his parted hair that split from his forehead to the pointy chin leading to his jawline.

It could only be one person.

Kenma...
