Chapter 10

“Are you sure about this? Harry wouldn’t be thrilled to see us here and neither would Bree.” Niall said, reluctant to be in here. We were already here in the local movie theatre. We were standing in the lobby trying to figure out what we’re going to do next.

“I’m positive! Besides, we’re only here to watch a movie and it just happened to be the same movie as they’re watching.” I informed him. I really don’t know why he’s so reluctant to be here. We’re not going to disturb they’re date or anything.

“You’re not jealous of Harry, are you?” Niall asked, with a smirk on his face. I looked at him like he just came out of the mental hospital.

“What? No! That’s preposterous!” I shot back. I don’t even know where he got that.

“Your lips say no but your eyes tell a different story.” He said with a knowing smile. He crossed his arms over his chest and studied me as if any moment I’d shout that I like Bree. I do not!

“Shut up and get the tickets.” I muttered.

“Fine.” Niall mumbled and walked to the ticket booth. I was left alone to survey the theatre. I wonder where Harry and Bree are.

Bree’s POV

I left the bakery in the responsible hands of Carter I didn’t want Charlie or Danny to manage it. Girls are more responsible than boys and besides if I put one of the boys in charge, they’d close up early. After that matter was resolved, I took a cab home and got ready for my date.

Just so you know I like Harry as a friend, nothing more. I’m not desperate for a relationship but I’m keeping an open mind.

I changed into a black and white striped shirt, dark blue jeans and wedged ankle boots. I let my hair out of its ponytail and let it hang loose around my shoulders. As I was about to finish putting on my lip gloss, the doorbell rang. Harry’s already here.

I put my lip gloss in my bag and put on a beanie. I love cold weather. It gives me an excuse to wear beanies. I ran downstairs and opened the door. Harry was standing in the cold wearing regular clothes, a black coat, a beanie and a scarf.

“It isn’t that cold. You don’t need to wear a scarf.” I commented as I put on my ivory-colored coat.

“I know, but I want to.” He replied as I stepped outside and locked the door. It was Friday and the boys were done with whatever they did during Fridays.

“You look beautiful, by the way.” Harry said as we walked to our destination. I involuntarily blushed. Who blushes at a comment as little as that? Oh right, me.

“Thanks. You look good yourself.” I complimented back. Harry smiled, showing his dimples. He was so adorable. “So, are we going to the movie theatre now or what?”

“I’m taking you to dinner first.”

“Oh, ok.” I said and we continued walking. I remember that Harry had a car, so why the heck are we walking?!

“Harry, you have a perfectly good car so why are we walking?” I asked him. My feet were getting tired even if it was just a block. My shoes aren’t made for walking.

“I like the fresh air and besides, if you get tired, I could carry you.” He said, smiling cheekily. I rolled my eyes but didn’t reply.

Harry took me to a 50’s style diner a few blocks later. It really surprised me. Since he was a celebrity and all I was expecting an expensive restaurant with fancy décor but a diner? Don’t get me wrong, I love diners. They’re more my style than fancy restaurants but I wasn’t expecting that kind of thing from Harry. He took that time as an opportunity to get to know me.
