Björn's POVToday is the big day. Anna and I are getting married. We still haven't told the entire world that we have gotten engaged and are now marrying in secret. Anna felt more comfortable that way and I wanted to respect her decision. So now, here we are about to marry the second time around on what would've been our 42nd wedding anniversary, but Anna and I want to pretend that we've been married all along. It's not realistic but still. It feels weird, I don't know. Anyways, I'm here at the little Gothic church in Verum where we had first married on this day back in 1971 waiting on my love.
I had managed to get the same man who had first married Anna and I back then to marry us again now. He was more than willing to do it and now here we are. And of course, we still joke about how he accidentally thought Anna and I were atheists at first and refused to marry us. Well, I'm not necessarily an atheist but I'm agnostic, not that I'm telling him that but then again, he probably already knows since I said that publicly. Either way, he was still more than willing to marry us again and that's all that matters.
I stood at the aisle waiting on my beloved Anna to come out and I can marry her again at last. I just couldn't wait. She's the love of my life and I can't wait to hold her in my arms again. As I waited, I had Benny and Christian standing by me while Frida, Linda, and Lolo helped Anna get ready. I reckon she'll be out in a few minutes but I just couldn't wait. My heart was just pounding and both my nerves and excitement were through the roof. Just then, Anna came out looking absolutely breathtaking as I turned to see her.
My jaw literally dropped and I had a huge smile on my face as I saw Anna walking down the aisle. Christian had gone over to help her out with Esther and Signe following behind as they were the flower girls. She looked absolutely stunning in her flowy, long white dress which made her look absolutely breathtaking. I just couldn't keep my eyes off her to be honest. As soon as Anna finally made it over to where I was in the aisle, I couldn't help but whisper in her ear.
"You look beautiful," I said as I leaned over and whispered in her ear. "Do you know that?"
"Yes Björn," Anna replied as she whispered back. "I know I do. Thank you so much."
I simply nodded as the ceremony began. I have to admit that ever since Anna and I got back together again, I saw a huge change in Anna. She no longer tortures herself and she's a much happier person overall. She has more confidence and she has high self esteem again. And it was so nice to see. I guess that just me being there was all it took and it was a shame that it took all these years plus her writing that song for me to realize that. Well, both of us really. But still, I think you all know what I mean. But at the end of the day, Anna and I were back together and that's all that matters. And now came the most important part of the ceremony.
"Björn Kristian Ulvaeus," the priest announced as he turned to me. "Do you take Agnetha Åse Fältskog to be your lawfully wedded wife once more? Do you plan on protecting her and cherishing her for as long as you both shall live?"
"I do," I replied excitedly.
And then, it was time for Anna to say "I do," as we continued the ceremony. However, there was a sweet little interruption. It was coming from Signe without a doubt. I think she was bored and just wanted some Mormor cuddles. And there's nothing wrong with that whatsoever.
"Mormor?" Signe asked, ever so innocently as she interrupted the ceremony. "We cuddle?"
"In a little bit sweetheart," Anna replied lovingly as she turned to Signe and had bent towards her level so they can make eye contact. "Just let Morfar and I finish and then I can give you and your sisters all the cuddles in the world. Okay?"
