A few days had passed and Anna and I were back together again. Well, not officially just yet but still. We are back together again. And it feels so good saying that because Anna and I were well and truly meant for each other. There's no doubt about that. She and I are soulmates.
Anna and I decided to take a walk in the woods outside her huge farmhouse in Ekerö. I was going to meet her there and I couldn't be anymore excited to see her as well as Linda and Jens and their daughters: Tilda, Esther, and Signe. I got to the farmhouse at last and rang the doorbell.
*DING DONG*
"Papa!" Linda exclaimed as she greeted me at the front of the doorway, having answered the door. "It's so nice to see you!"
"It's so nice to see you too, Linda," I replied as I greeted her back.
"Come in," Linda said as she stepped aside to let me in.
As soon as I entered the house, I was immediately attacked by two little angels with their big sister walking behind them, trying to act all cool. Tilda is 12 now so she thinks she's too cool for the things that Esther and Signe do but deep down, I think she knows she's still a kid at heart.
"MORFAR!" Esther and Signe exclaimed as they rushed towards me and gave me bear hugs. It makes perfect sense in a way since my name is also the Swedish word for a bear.
"Hello my little angels," I replied as I hugged them back. "How are you?"
"I doing good Morfar," Esther replied as Tilda shyly walked towards me.
"Oh come on, Tilda!" I exclaimed happily as I beckoned her over to where Esther, Signe, and I were. "Come and say hello! You're never too old for your Morfar. I promise you."
With that being said, Tilda came over and hugged me and greeted me. There was no doubt that I loved all three of my granddaughters to bits. And there was no doubt that they loved their beloved Morfar, aka me, just as much.
"Where's your Mormor?" I asked my granddaughters after a long group hug.
"She's in her room," Tilda replied. "I heard her crying."
"When?!" I exclaimed as I immediately became concerned for her.
"Just now," Tilda replied as a matter of factly.
"Do you know why she's crying?" I asked.
"No," Tilda replied. "Mormor wouldn't tell me. She says that I'm too young to know and understand why she's crying."
"Oh ok," I sighed. "I'm going to go to her and see if she's ok. You girls stay here."
"Ok Morfar," Tilda replied as she and her sisters nodded their heads.
I immediately headed over to Anna's bedroom and sure enough, there she was silently sobbing her heart out. My heart broke at the sight of her.
"Anna!" I exclaimed as I rushed towards her. She shot her head up and tearfully looked at me as I sat down next to her and I began holding her. "What's wrong baby? Are you ok?"
"No Björn," Anna replied through her tears and she shook her head. "I don't want to talk about it."
"Well maybe the walk we planned will make you feel better," I suggested.
Anna simply nodded her head and she got up and wiped her tears before getting ready for our nature walk around the woods surrounding Ekerö. Once she was ready, we began our walk together hand in hand. But there was no doubt that she was still very upset about whatever was bothering her.
She just seemed so quiet, so reserved. She was completely lost in thought and it almost looked like she was about to cry. It was just so sad to watch and I really wanted to know exactly what it is that's bothering her. I want to soothe her pain and make her feel better. But at the same time, I know I can't pressure her because that would just make things worse as much as I'm tempted to ask her.
