I woke up in the morning in my bed. Yesterday's clothes were crumpled on me, my hair was like a bird's nest. The Patil sisters were gazing mercilessly in my direction.  Mione explained that I was brought in by the Weasley brothers, who the girls had their eyes on. How did the twins manage to get here? Although they always boasted that they've been to every inch of Hogwarts.
The four of us sat at breakfast. Ron, as usual, staffed his mouth with food, Hermione and I ate slowly, carefully chewing on bits of scrambled eggs, but Harry didn't touch the food. He dropped his head down and dejectedly watched our movements.

“Eat at least a toast, buddy” - the ginger boy said to Potter.

"Ron is right, Harry" - my friend reluctantly admitted.  - "You can relax."

“I'm not hungry” - the boy answered sadly.

“You're in luck today, Potter” - came a sullen voice.

I jumped in surprise. Mione and Ron reacted more calmly as they stopped eating.

"You were strong in a duel with a troll, which means that playing Quidditch will seem easy for you ..." - Snape continued.  He donned dark robes as usual, as if he was teaching DADA rather than Potions, grinning sarcastically.  - "Even against Slytherin..."

He turned his gaze to me and for a second it seemed that he was about to smile but it did not happen.

“And good luck to you, Miss Lupin. Beware of the Bludgers.” - the professor said, limping along the tables.

Stop... Limping?

"Have you seen the blood?" - Harry asked as Snape walked a long distance.

"Blood?" - I asked in bewilderment, turning my head.

“Look, I've been thinking for a long time. Last night, Snape let the mountain troll in to divert attention to walk past the three-headed dog but he himself was injured so he limps! "  - the brunet explained a very realistic version.

"But why would he go near the dog?" - Granger didn’t understand.  She finished eating long ago and was waiting for us.

“When I was at the bank, Hagrid took something from the vault, said it belongs to Hogwarts” - Potter said further.

"That means..." - Mione began.

Harry interrupted her immediately.

"The dog is guarding it, and Snape needs it!"

We froze from the veracity of what was happening. “That's exactly whats happening!” - I thought without a doubt.

Our numbness was interrupted by the screeching of an owl. We turned towards the sound. Two school owls flew into the hall with huge elongated bundles in their paws. One of the packages landed in Potter's hands and the other in mine.

"A little early for the mail" - Granger pointed out. Mail was usually delivered after lunch.

“I don’t receive mail…” - my chosen friend was surprised.

“Let's open it up” - Ron suggested.

He helped Harry unwrap the wrapping paper, and Hermione helped me.

The entire Great Hall was watching us with interest, setting aside the cutlery.

The bundles contained two practically identical brooms. They differed only in color: Potter's broom gleamed red, mine was almost black.

“This is Nimbus-2000” - I exhaled enthusiastically, touching the broom by the handle.

"But who?" - Harry asked, turning to me. He never received a package.
