Okay, so I've decided that, I'm doing Mean Girls for the next fic, y'know in honor of it closing. Also, one time, this was in 2019, we were at my grandpa's house for Christmas eve. Now this was before my musical theater phase, so I had only listened to like the beginning of Candy Store, and I was singing it, and my sister, who is younger than me, heard me and asked what "dick" meant. Anyways it was a good thing there were no adults in the room.

[HADES]
Young man
I don't think we've met before
You're not from around here, son
Don't know who the hell you are but I can tell you don't belong
These are workin' people, son
Law-abiding citizens
Go back to where you came from
You're on the wrong side of the fence

Persephone was tense, wondering what Hades was going to do.

[PERSEPHONE, spoken]
Hades, I know this boy

[HADES, spoken]
One of the unemployed?

[PERSEPHONE, spoken]
His name is Orpheus

[HADES, spoken]
You stay out of this

"You really need to work out your marriage, guys." Elizabeth said, Hades and Persephone ignored her.

[HERMES, spoken]
Orpheus was a poor boy--

[HADES, spoken]
You hear me, son?

[HERMES, spoken]
You might say he was naive--

[HADES, spoken]
You better run!

[HERMES, spoken]
But this poor boy raised up his voice with his heart out on his sleeve

"Thank you." Eurydice said to Orpheus.

[EURYDICE, spoken]
No!
Orpheus, you should go

"I hate to admit it, but she's right," Hermes said.

[ORPHEUS]
I'm not goin' back alone--
I came to take her home!

Hades admired Orpheus, but knew that he would most likely not allow Eurydice to go with Orpheus.

[HADES]
(Laughs)
Who the hell do you think you are?
Who the hell you think you're talkin' to?
She couldn't go anywhere even if she wanted to
You're not from around here, sonIf you were, then you would know
That everything and everyone in Hadestown I own
But I only buy what others choose to sell
Oh, you didn't know?
She signed the deal herself
And now she--

[ORPHEUS]
It isn't true--

[HADES]
Belongs to me

Elizabeth started singing Where Do You Belong, then stopped realizing, that maybe now wasn't the time for The Gays welcoming someone to high school.

[ORPHEUS]
It isn't true--
What he said--
Eurydice--

[EURYDICE]
I did--
I do

"That's sad." Persephone said. Orpheus and Eurydice looked sad.

[HADES]
As for you--
Everybody gather 'round!
Everybody look and see
What becomes of trespassers with no respect for property!

"That was a lot." Hemes said.
