Chapter 26- Care and Love are two different things

Pablo dropped Angie off at home.

Pablo” Angie think about what I said. I really think were at that stage”.

Angie” No pressure then”. Angie laughed nervously.

Pablo” I love you Angie”.

Just then Herman walked through the door with Jade.

Jade” Hello love birds. Did you have a good time?”.

Pablo” Yes we did. It was nice to spend some time with Angie”.

Jade” Awww. Well I’m off to bed. I need my beauty sleep. Well not really. I’m already beautiful. Goodnight my Love”.

Herman” Goodnight Jade”.

Angie” Goodnight Pablo”.

Pablo” Hang on aren’t you forgetting something?”. He pointed to his cheek.

Angie” Oh yes sorry Pablo”.

Angie kissed Pablo on the cheek quickly. Herman looked on in disgust.

Pablo” I’ll see you tomorrow. Love you Angie”.

Angie” See you Pablo”.

Pablo” Bye Herman”.

Herman” Bye Pablo”.

Pablo” Ohh yeah remember what I said”.

Angie” I will Pablo”.

Pablo left it was just Herman and Angie standing in the living room. Angie then went into the kitchen to make a cup of tea. Herman followed.

Herman” So how did you date go?”.

Angie” It went well. Want some tea?”.

Herman” Yes thanks. Angie what was Pablo on about when he asked you to think about what he said”.

Angie” He asked me if I would move in with him”.

Herman was taken aback by what Angie said. He was surprised.

Herman” So what’s your answer gonna be?”.

Angie” I don’t know. I think everything’s moving far too fast”.

Herman looked relieved.

Herman” Then don’t leave”.

Angie” Herman it isn’t that simple”.

Herman” Yes it is. You just tell Pablo the truth”.

Angie” I can’t it will hurt him. I care about him too much to do that to him”.

Herman” You said care”.

Angie” No I didn’t. I said love”.

Herman” You didn’t Angie. You didn’t say love because you DON’T LOVE HIM”.

Angie” Why would you say something like that Herman?”.

Herman” Well you need to be honest. I think you don’t love him because you love me”. 

Angie” Herman you can’t say things like that”.

Herman” Why not Angie it’s the truth”.

Angie” Herman I told you nothing can ever happen”.

Angie took her tea to her room. She left Herman standing in the kitchen alone.
