It was a brand new day. Everyone was downstairs eating breakfast. Angie was very cheery and it had a positive effect on Herman.
Angie “Ummmmm this Jam and Toast is delicious”. She took another bite out of her Toast and walked into the kitchen. Herman was staring at her with a huge smile. Which was noticed by Violetta and Ramallo. Angie came back and sat at the table.
Angie “So Vilu are you ready for your chemistry exam?”.
Violetta “Ready then I’ll ever be”.
Angie “Okay well you can start it at lunch”.
Violetta “Okay Angie”.
Violetta,Ramallo and Jade lef the table. It was just Herman and Angie. She went to leave when Herman shouted her.
Angie “Yes what is it Herman?”.
Herman “I just wanted to say I’m glad were friends again”.
Angie “Me too”. She gave him a sweet smile.
…………………3 Hours Later…………………
Angie and Violetta were walking through the park discussing Jade and Matias.
Violetta “Seriously Angie Jade is so brainless”.
Angie “I know Vilu. Just ignore her. I do she doesn’t bother me even if she tries her hardest”.
Violetta “She can see that there is something between you and my Dad. She is so jealous”.
Angie “There is nothing between me and your Dad.
Violetta “Okay Angie keep telling yourself that”. She started laughing.
There were back at the house. Herman was consoling Jade in the living room. Angie turned and spoke to Violetta.
Angje “I think this proves my point”. Angie looked sad and went to her room. Violetta went after Angie.
Violetta “You okay Angie?”.
Angie “Yeah why wouldn’t I be?”. Angie tried to give a convincing smile.
Violetta “Okay Angie but you always know you have me. I’m here for you”.
Angie “When did you become so grown up?”. She said whilst stroking Violetta’s cheek.
Violetta “I’m just mature for my age”. She giggled. Angie pulled Violetta into a hug.
Angie “Come on let’sgo down for tea”.
Violetta and Angie joined the others at the table. Jade couldn’t resist teasing Angie.
Jade “My love what do you think of September the 14th?”.
Herman “Sounds good why?”.
Jade “I think we should set a date for our wedding of course”.
Everyone stopped eating and looked at Herman.
Violetta “YOUR WHAT! ?”.
Jade “Didn’t your Dad tell you. He’s asked me to marry him and I’ve said yes”.
Everyone couldn’t stop looking at Herman. His face was expressionless.
Violetta “Dad?”. Herman came out of his trance.
Herman “What’s the matter Vilu?”.
Violetta “You can’t be serious?”.
Herman “What?”.
Violetta “Unbelievable”. Violetta went upstairs.
Jade “Well aren’t you going to congratulate us Angie?”.
Angie “Congratulations on your engagement. I hope you to will be very happy together”. Angie also left the table. She was visibly upset.
………………3 Hours Later……………
Violetta was still reeling from Jade’s revelation. She locked herself in her room. There was a knock at the door. It was Angie.
Violetta “Go Away!”.
Angie “It’s me Angie. Let me in”.
Violetta let Angie In. Angie and Violetta sat on her bed.
Violetta “I can’t believe it Angie. I thought you and my Dad were..”. Angie cut her off.
Angie “Vilu I’ve told you”.
Violetta “I know I know. I just don’t understand why he asked that witch to marry him. She is so wrong for him. Jade only wants my Dad’s money. She doesn’t love him”.
Angie “Vilu your Dad loves her. Try and be happy for him”.
Violetta “He won’t go through with it. He won’t marry her”.
Angie “Don’t stress yourself Vilu. Now get some sleep and I’ll see you in the morning”. Violetta looked defeated.
Violetta “Okay Angie. See you in the morning”. Violetta hugged Angie.
Angie left Violetta’s room and bumped into someone. It was Herman.
Angie “Oh Herman I didn’t see you there. Sorry”.
Herman “No worries”. Angie couldn’t look Herman in the eyes.
Angie “Well I’m off to bed”.
Herman “Hang on Angie”. Herman grabbed hold of Angie’s wrists. Angie pulled away.
Angie “Congratulations Herman”. She said half-heartedly. She went to bed.
