Chapter 2 - Interview And Meeting The Team

Samaira entered the conference room. The board was waiting for her. Sourav ganguly sir, Rajeev shukla, Jay shah, Ravi shastri - Men's coach and Woorkeri Raman - Women's coach.

Samaira introduced herself with confidence and in a professional manner. They were impressed with her confidence.

"Soo how long have you been in this field?". Ravi sir asked. "5 years". She answered. "You are still young samaira, your cv says you are 21 years and you do hold a doctorate degree". Sourav sir asked.

"Yes i am 21 years and at the age of 17 i completed my master's and at 20 i got my doctorate degree and i am currently pursuing masters in orthopedic". Samaira said and they were impressed with her qualifications.

They started asking questions to know her knowledge and were amazed to know the depth of her knowledge and the way she was answering each and every question perfectly. They all were impressed with her confidence, her way of carrying herself and presenting herself.

The interview continued for more than 2 hours before they came to a conclusion. They made a call to receptionist to come in. She came in after a minute.

"Yes sir". She asked. "The one's who are here for the interview tell them the interview is over and they can leave, we have got a young talented girl and she will prove to be an asset for both men's and women's team, Welcome to our team Dr. Samaira Rai". Sourav sir said and samaira's smile widened.

"Congratulations Dr. Samaira Rai". They congratulated her and she was smiling all the while.

"Thank you so much for finding me capable for this job, i will do my best and won't disappoint any one of you". Samaira said and they smiled.

"Come with me Dr. Samaira the team is practicing at the stadium let me introduce you to them". Ravi sir said and guided her out.

"Soo Dr..". Sourav sir said but samaira stopped him. "Sir please don't call me Dr you can call me by my name, sam or sammy. I love when people call me by my name rather than dr". She told them and they smiled.

"You are different from others because people often ask to call them using their degree and don't call us sir it makes us feel like we have grown too old call us by our name to". They said.

"I will try i can't promise that". Samaira said with a sheepish smile on her face making them to smile.

They soon reached the stadium and got onto the ground. Sourav dada waited with Samaira while ravi sir went on to address the team.

"Boys gather around". He called out everyone and soon they gathered around. "Soo boys there is someone whom i want you to meet i expect you guys to behave and be nice to her". Ravi said.

"Ohh it's a girl than we surely want to meet them right". Hardik said with a mischievous smile on his face.

"No mischief harry she is younger than you, i expect you guys to treat her well". Ravi said and they nodded.

Sourav dada brought samaira with him. "Soo boys meet Dr. Samaira Rai, our first female and new psychologist and physiotherapist for both men's and women's team. She is now a part of our team". Sourav sir said and they smiled.

"You are really a doctor?". Hardik asked. "Harry that's rude to ask, you will scare her just in first meeting, Hii Dr. I am MS Dhoni". Dhoni said shaking hands with her.

"It's fine, no one believes that i am a doctor considering that i am just 21 but yes i completed my master's at the age of 17 and got my doctorate degree at the age of 20 and currently pursuing masters in orthopaedic and please don't call me dr you can call me sam, Sammy or my whole name but no dr i will appreciate it, if you have even the smallest problem free feel to contact me be it any time and let me tell you that i can read faces so even if you won't tell me i will figure it out myself". Samaira said chuckling and everyone had their mouth wide open.
