Chapter 43 - Crashing Down

The match was over and all were out for handshake. Australian players shook hands with others but gave big bear hugs to sam making Indian team to look at her proudly. Sam managed to give them smile her mind was somewhere else.

She was physically present but mentally absent. Interviews were going on and sam rushed inside and looked at jaddu first only to find him asleep. Sighing she changed the ice pack and went in search of hrishi.

Once she found him. "Hrishi bhaiya can you give me my phone i have some urgent work". Sam said with a desperation in her voice and he nodded and went to retrieve her phone.

He handed her phone to her and she switched it on and was waiting for it to turn on when Ravi came in looking for her.

"Here you are i searched for you everywhere come outside with me". He said and took her with him. They went outside only to find Justin Langer Australian head coach waiting for them.

"Ahh girl i was looking for you everywhere, i just want to thank you on behalf of entire Australian team for saving finchy's life without thinking that he is from opposite team". Justin said hugging her tight.

"Anyone who would have been in my place would have reacted in same way don't thank me, how's he now?". Sam asked breaking the hug.

"Another reason why i was looking for you Amy finchy's wife wants to see you in person... Soo mate is it a problem if i borrow her and take her to hospital to meet his wife i am sure one of my boys will drop her back safely to hotel". Justin asked Ravi and before sam could say anything he agreed.

"Why not go sam grab your stuffs i will tell boys about it later they all are busy". Ravi said and sam sighed internally and went to grab her stuffs.

Boys were on field goofing around. She soon came after collecting her stuffs only to find Justin waiting for her.

"Come we are going in my personal car boys have already left to see finchy". He said and started walking making sam to follow him quietly.

They settled down in car and drove off. "How much time it will take us to reach?!". Sam asked quietly.

"Nearly 10 - 15 minutes". Justin said. "Mind if i study some reports it's really urgent and important". Sam asked. "Why are asking in first place do whatever you want work comes first". Justin said with a smile on his face and she muttered a thanks giving him a small smile and took her laptop out.

She turned it on and logged in her mail id and started studying the reports which she received. She was immersed into studying the reports and her mind started going blank as she progressed reading it.

They reached hospital. She kept the laptop in her bag and they both got in. The receptionist guided them towards the ward.

All players were standing outside. "Doctor is checking him up". Pat said before they could ask any question and they settled down. Sam was pacing around the corridor when someone called her name.

"Dr. Samaira Rai i must be dreaming". A guy said making her to turn. She looked at him and asked. "Umm yes do i know you?". Sam asked confused.

"You don't know me but I have followed your doctorate journey every bits, you are an inspiration to me. I want to become like you but i can manage only one degree not like you having 3 degrees that you at such a young age". He said making others to look confused.

"3 degrees?". Starc asked confused. "Yeah she is the youngest psychologist and physiotherapist in India and achieved a doctorate degree at the age of 20 and she is studying to become a orthopedic surgeon too". The guy told making their mouth to go wide open.
