Chapter 9 - Helping

Sam was working on her laptop when hardik came and settled besides her. He was about to speak when sam told him.

"Lie down on your stomach your lower back pain has flared up again right". Sam said without taking her eyes off the screen and he looked at her shocked.

"How do you know about it?". He asked looking at her. "Your face says it all Harry and i saw you holding your back". Sam said looking at him and he smiled and lied down as sam instructed.

"Soo how often does this happens?". Sam asked lifting off his jersey and started assessing his back.

"It was once in two months but it's getting pretty frequent it happens once in two weeks.. Oww oww oww". He yelped in pain as sam pressed a certain point in his lower back.

"It's going to be ok harry, i suggest you get an MRI done for your lower back i reckon you have aggravated the damage it looks like a lumbar strain to me, let's hope you haven't torn the muscles or it would create a problem for you to make it to the tour". Sam said and his eyes widened.

"What please i cannot afford to not make it for the tour I have worked hard for this tour, i will do whatever you say take rest or anything but make me fit for this tour.. ". He started rambling.

"Woah woah easy harry i will work on your back everyday don't worry you will make it for the tour, i suggest you get a scan done as soon as possible to see how much damage you have done, you stay here i will be back in a while". Sam said placing a ice pack on his back.

She went towards Ravi. "Ravi i need to take hardik for a scan like now to see the extent of his injury and i will take roo along too to get his scans done as well is it ok". Sam asked to which he smiled and said.

"Sam no need to permission from me you are a doctor and you will do what's best for our team, so next time don't ask permission from me". Ravi said patting her back and she smiled.

She went in search of roo who was practising batting. "Roo bhaiya come with me i am taking you and harry for getting your scans done, get changed". Sam said and he took off his guards.

They got changed and took sunnies and caps to hide their identity. Harry was still having pain. They got out of stadium towards Harry's car. He was about to sit in the drivers seat when sam spoke.

"Harry give the keys to me i will drive you both rest you need it". Sam said and he passed the keys to her. She got into the drivers seat.

"Roo bhaiya pass me a cushion and rest your leg on the seat and put one cushion under your leg". Sam instructed and he did as she said.

Sam kept the cushion behind hardik's back and reclined his seat a bit making him comfortable. She wore the seat belt and started driving the car.

"Did you both take any solid food in last five hours?. Sam asked to which they thought for a while.

"No i just had a juice of glass in the morning nothing else". Roo said and she nodded. "I also had the same a juice of glass and nothing else why did you ask though". Harry asked.

"Fasting is required for MRI i guess you guys would know it as you must have gone through many scans due to the injuries you suffer in cricket". Sam said and they had a sheepish smile on their face making her to shake her head at them. Her phone pinged with a message to which she pulled it out and handed it to harry as she was driving.

See bitch i snatched sameer away from you and will make sure he forgets you and this is to inform you that we have been engaged since over a month and he did not find it important to tell you so I am giving you the information. I will take him far away from you just wait and watch and you won't be able to do anything.
