Chapter 38 - Match Day

Sam was in the dressing room organising her stuffs. While boys had gone for their warm up sessions. She took an hour to organise everything.

She was checking the equipments whether they were working or not when boys came in. Harry slowly crept up behind her and scared her making her to scream and sit down hiding her face in her hands and boys laughed at her reaction.

"Very bad harry you scared chotii don't worry we will take revenge right". Shardul said sitting next to her embracing her and she opened her eyes and nodded slowly.

"You scared the shit out of me harry". Sam said regaining her composure and stood up again to look at the equipment. "Just having some fun before the match". Harry said grinning widely and winked making her to shake her head.

"Hey what's this machine called i have never seen this before". Shreyas asked. "This is an Automatic External Defibrillator aka AED also called as defib it automatically diagnoses the life threatening cardiac arrhythmias of ventricular fibrillation (VF) and pulseless ventricular tachycardia and is able to treat them through defibrillator, the application of electricity which stops the arrhythmia, allowing the heart to re-establish an effective rhythm in short it can bring a person back to life by delivering shock if they have died with a combination of CPR and use of defib, so just checking whether it's batteries are charged or not". Sam explained which first went bouncer for them and soon understood when she told last part.

"Why are these devices and equipments are soo complicated!?". Shubh asked innocently.

"They are meant to be complicated shubhi because our human bodies are complicated too and these complicated devices saves one's life". Sam said and they nodded.

"Come on boys break is over get back to practice". Ravi said coming and they nodded and left.

"Sam you also join them on field and help them in case something happens don't forget your radio". Ravi said and she nodded and took her small kit which had all necessary stuffs and tied it around her waist and tucked the radio on the belt and got out.

She got on field and was going towards someone when vee came towards her. "Baby sis can navi play today?". He asked making her to smile.

"I was just going towards him to check his back". Sam said and they both went towards navi who was warming up.

"Navi come lie down over here i need to look at your back". Sam said and he nodded and lied on his back.

"Soo how do you feel navi about the match?". Sam asked engaging him in a conversation. "Totally pumped up i just want to give my best for the team". Navi said and they both Continued talking to him and she completed her assessment.

"Soo?". Vee and navi asked. She faked a sad face their face fell. "He is completely fit and can play". She said maintaining the face it took a while for them to understand. Once they did they fake a glare at her.

She stuck her tongue out at them and that's when they leaped to catch her but she bolted away going around making them workout more and she was noticing navi's speed too.

She went and hided behind shikhi. "Gabbar bhaiya save me from these two". Sam said and he nodded.

"Ayyy don't come near kiddo shoo away". He said winking at them and they nodded. Before sam could understand vee and navi squeezed her in between them and vee pulled her one cheek and navi pulled her other cheek.

"Ahhh not my cheeks". Sam said trying to stop them pulling her cheeks but soon others joined making her to pout.

"Guys enough spare her". Mayank said and they left her she went towards him and took him in a hug. "Ahh thank you soo much mayu you are a saviour". Sam said to which he hugged her.
