"Shush!" Gunhee shooed the kids swarming around the ramp with their skateboards, bikes and scooters. He waved his hands at their direction with an angry expression on his face, looking like he was really about to hit them. The kids weren't even nearly as intimidated as Gunhee wished, though they did take him seriously and quickly scattered once he furiously growled, "Get the fuck out here already!"
One by one the kids got out of the way and started heading away from the park, going to find another place to play at and probably not coming back anymore that night. Gunhee ran up the ramp to sit next to the two other guys.
"Fucking kids..." he muttered, digging through his pockets to find something. He noticed Yongguk was giving him a serious look. "What? They piss me off," he shrugged and took out a lighter to lit up the joint he had just brought to his lips.
"I think if someone should not be allowed to hang out here it would be us. Also are you really going to make this weed smoking a habit," Yongguk wasn't going to scold - he knew he had no say and honestly he didn't care to butt in - he just sometimes didn't understand his friend's behavior.
"You're the kid from yesterday, right? I'm Gun," Gunhee changed the topic and looked over Yongguk at the yellow-haired youth sitting next to him.
"I found us a fast rapper for the song," Yongguk said, glancing towards Junhong with a smile.
"Huh? This kid?" Gunhee raised his brows and let out a puff of smoke.
"Junhong," the 'kid' introduced himself.
"Nah, I don't really know about this one," Gunhee joked, staring at Junhong up and down like he was picking a bodyguard.
"Don't joke around," Yongguk wanted to hit him for being so rude. He knew Gunhee was playing around but Junhong, who was new, could be hurt by such words. "Once you hear him rap, you'll be begging on your knees for him to do a verse on your song."
"I like that confidence. Should we go to the studio right now?"
"It's reserved until seven."
"Alright then I'll just hear him out here," Gunhee pressed the joint against the edge of the ramp and stuck his hand in his pocket again, this time to take out his phone. "I'll play the beat so show me just how good you are to have Yongguk praising you like this."
"What do I do?" Junhong whispered, leaning closer to Yongguk. Clearly Gunhee's harsh presence was slightly intimidating to him, he was way more nervous than he had been when Yongguk asked him to rap for the first time.
"Do the same verse you did on that demo of yours. It was really good," Yongguk replied with a low voice and gave the younger a supportive smile.
Gunhee played the instrumental of their new song and Junhong listened to the beat for a while before starting to rap, sounding unbelievably comfortable and natural for someone doing this for the first time. Gunhee's mouth dropped open and he covered it with his fist but only a moment later, he couldn't help throwing in some adlibs while Junhong's rap got faster and faster.
"Damn," he let out once Junhong finished the verse. "I think I need to get on my knees."
Yongguk laughed at Gunhee's joke but it turned out he wasn't joking. He set down his phone and really got on his knees, facing towards Junhong, who wasn't sure if he should laugh as well. The slightly intimidating guy was now begging him.
"Please do a verse on my song. Or I mean Yongguk's new song. Or actually it's my song too I produced it but-" Gunhee seemed surprisingly flustered now.
"Really?" Junhong's eyes switched between Gunhee and Yongguk as if he was looking for some sort of a confirmation from the latter. Yongguk gave him a nod. "Okay sure."
