Gerard neared his due date, but not the final show of his tour. Frank, his loving husband, begged Gerard to cancel the rest of the tour so he could have the baby and not end up giving birth on stage and having no way to rest after having the baby.
"Frank i don't care. I'm gonna be fine. The worst that'll happen is i go into labor on stage and just have to give birth backstage, but there are backstage doctors and a midwife just in case. Frankie i promise i'm going to be okay. Finish putting your make up on, you know, while i struggle to put this damn jacket over my belly." Gerard said, stretching his back out.
Gerard was in pain. His lower back was killing him. The baby was kicking him hard, making him need the toilet all the time. He had to keep running back and forth, on and off stage to go to the toilet. He refused to cancel shows or leave them until his baby was born. He loved his fans so much.
Frank refused to let him do his big, fancy enterances onstage anymore, most of them involved running and jumping, all things Gerards doctor told him he shouldn't be doing.
"Good evening New Jerseyyyy! Ughh, you won't believe this, but i'm pregnant! You'd never guess that would you?" Gerard shouted into the microphone, rubbing his huge stomach.
The crowd cheered loudly.
"Nooo. None of us, well, most of us don't know the gender, Ray does. He decided to take a look in the doctors notes when we went for a scan, so thank you Ray!"
Gerard breathed heavily, his hand on his back as the baby kicked hard. He tensed up while a searing agony tore through his entire body.
He looked down at his pregnant belly, and up at his younger brother. He was scared. He was probably going to go into labor...that night.
"Frank...can you take over a sec..?" Gerard groaned, running off the stage.
"Damn. Gerard has been such a paaaain in the ass recently! It's always 'Fraaank get me some food!' or 'Fraaank give me a massage!'. Damn.
What an ass. I can't complain though, im excited to meet my son—SHIT! SHITTT! Okay fineee, Ray told me. Gerard doesn't know i know okay? Anyway, complain about Gerards constant nagging! 'Fraaank can you put the crib together?' 'Oh Frankie you're too good for me!'. 'I want food! Oh its not for me, its for the baby.' One big one 'Fraaank i'm not cancelling the tour!'. I probably shouldn't have said that. I wanted Gerard to cancel, for his sake obviously. I just don't want him to hurt himself."He finished peeing and came back onstage.
"Gerard you need to go home. This isn't good for you or the baby." Frank said.
"No im fine Frank. To kick this show off, we'll be welcoming you to the Black Parade!"
The crowd screamed out loudly. All throughout the song the baby was kicking like crazy. It already loved Gerards singing voice.
Half way through the last song, Teenagers, a thick liquid tricked down Gerards leg, soaking into his pants. He tried to push through the agony he was in, but in the end, he dropped to the floor.
"Gee?! Gee are you alright?!" Frank said, drying Gerards sweaty forehead.
"It's coming...the baby's coming..."
Frank tried to get Gerard backstage, but only got as far as the curtains. The curtains closed to give Gerard the most privacy as he could get.
Gerards screams echoed throughout backstage and the audience.
It wasn't long before he pushed out a beautiful little boy. They called him Miles. Miles Raymond Micheal Way.
"You know Gee, all the fans are still there, do you want to go back onstage for a minute?" Frank said, tucking Gerards long, black hair behind his ear.
"Sure."
Mikey held Miles while Frank helped Gerard back onto his feet.
"Hello baby Miles. I'm Uncle Mikey. You look so much like your daddy Frank. You got daddy Gerards nose. His stupid little nose."
Gerard pulled a face of...sarcasm, while also drying his tears. His legs were weak. Frank helped Gerard into a clean, fresh pair of pants and underwear while Ray and Mikey took turns in holding the fragile, tiny baby. Miles wore a little onesie with dinosaurs, which Mikey had bought for him. Mikey slipped two tiny, baby blue socks onto his feet. He kissed his nephews little upturned nose.
Gerard took Miles back in his arms and walked onstage with Frank. The crowd awed.
"We have to go home, but you guys are the first of the MCR fans to meet our son. This is Miles Raymond Micheal Way. He's a little stage hog."
Frank put his arm around Gerard and kissed his cheek.
"Thank you New Jersey! So long and goodnight!" Gerard shouted into the microphone one last time.
He held Miles close to his chest, crying with joy. Frank gently stroked his sons dark brown hair.
