Minutes later, the pack was gathered around Alpha. he was standing on a large rock so he could look out onto the whole pack. "First off, i would like to announce that we have a new pack member, Perseus Jackson." Alpha motioned for him to step foreward. He did and stood nervously as the pack stared at him. Then they began to chant, it echoed around the clearing. They were chanting his name, welcoming him to the pack. He smiled until his mouth hurt. When the chanting died down Alpha continued. "Finally, we are running low on food, Elvira Moon, I want you to take Percy and a few others to catch a couple of deer. We are going to have a feast tonight to honor our new pack member!" The pack cheered and dispersed. A maroon haired girl walked up to Percy. "Hey." She said, "I'm Elvira Moon," He shook her hand. "I want to show you the hunting basics." He nodded, and she walked away to grab a few more people to hunt. minutes later, seven weres were gathered. They had shifted into their wolf selves. Percy was a black wolf with sea green eyes. Elvira howled and they took off, noses to the ground. "WE USALLY HUNT DEER. THEY HAVE A DISTINCT SCENT, LIKE FLOWERS AND, WELL... MEAT." (Sorry guys, I'm on an ipad, so i don't have italics or bold. I am going to use caps lock for mind links) Elvira spoke in his mind. He shook his head surprised and stared at her. "YES PERCY, WE CAN SPEAK TO EACH OTHER VIA MINDLINK." She looked over at him with a wolfish grin. "WOAH! CAN YOU HEAR ME?" He thought back. "YOU DONT NEED TO THINK ABOUT THE MESSAGE SENDING, WE CAN READ EACH OTHERS MINDS IF WE WANT TO." Elvira said. She then stopped and crouched low. Percy copied her and noticed a doe sniffing at a bush. Elvira pounced, bringing the doe on her side. It lashed out with its hooves but she dodged them easily. Elvira's fangs sank into the doe's neck, and it went limp. She looked back at him with a bloody grin. "LETS GO CATCH UP WITH THE OTHERS, WE NEED TO HEAD BACK SOON." She grabbed one of the does legs and began to drag it. Percy grabbed another one, helping her. They met up in a clearing, all but three had some meat in their jaws. The three that didn't have anything in their jaws were covered in scratches. "WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU THREE?" Elvira asked them with a scowl. "BEAR ATTACKED US," one replied. Percy watched in awe as their cuts faided. One of the others laughed at his reaction. "WEREWOLVES HEAL QUICKLY." The wolf explained. At that moment, hunters and huntresses came into the clearing, bow and arrows ready to fire. "THOUGH WE CAN BE SERIOUSLY INJURED FROM ARROWS..." Thats when the hunting horn sounded and arrows began to fly.
