They all cheered and waited for his orders. "I want Zoë, Elvira, and Taylor to take care of anything to do with the hunters. That includes any bodies and wepons. If they are in good condition and aren't harmful to us, then keep them. Amanda, Aiden, Stardust, and Lilly to fix all the tents. Use any extra cloth you can find if nessasary. Anikin, Kayla, and Cayla please go find a few deer and rabbits for the pack. I feel everyone will be hungry after all the work we need to get done." He looked at everyone with a newfound power in his eyes. "Have the younger children clean up any sticks they can find and pile them over by the firepit. I was thinking I could do a little B & E at Camp Half - Blood and get some sweets for everyone."

That got another cheer out of everyone but Zoë. She glanced at him worriedly. "I hope thee knows how to sneak in. Especially with the nightly patrols. Thou knows how hard it is to get past them in the middle of the night." He shrugged, "I'll be fine Zoë, I know how to get in unseen. How do you think Annabeth and I were able to go on little night walks." With a jolt, he realized how much he missed her. They had been officially dating for only a few months when he left. Oh man. She probably thought he was dead! "Uh, meeting dissmissed." Everyone dispersed to go do their jobs. He walked around, helping out wherever it was needed. He had lots on his mind. He went though the list of candidates over and over, slowly narrowing it down.

Sunset came quickly, too quick in Percy's opinion. "Gather around everyone!" He called out nervously. They could all tell he was nervous. Some took it as a sign of weakness, others looked at him sympathetically. "I say these words so all the Alphas that have stood here before me may hear and approve of my choice!" He recited the ancient words, glancing at the crowd, praying that his choice would be accepted. "Zoë Nightshade will be the Beta of this pack!" She looked up at Percy with a smile. He knew she was a good choice. She was strong, a natural leader and had seen many leaders rise and fall in her time. She knew what to do and what not to do.

"Zo-, no Beta go get the matches because it is time for a celebration!" Everyone howled as one, filling the night air with a joyous noise. While everyone had been cleaning, percy had snuck into Camp Half - Blood and stolen some of the magic plates. He now passed them out to some of the half - blood wolves that knew what to do. Soon, every werewolf had a marshmallow roasting by the fire. It made him happy to know that he was able to make everyone happy after the sudden loss of their former Alpha.

It was 9:00 by the time the younger ones got sent off to bed. Some had forgotten to wipe the chocolate off their faces. The former camp residents taught everyone sone old camp songs. It took Percy back to when he and Annabeth would sit by the fire and sing. She had to force him to belt out even a few off - key notes. She once had Clarisse steal Riptide. It took hours for him to get it back from the Ares kids. Only a few wedgies and a 'kick me' sign were the price. Annabeth brought it up at the most inconvenient times just for embarassment. Zoë shook him out of his thoughts. "Percy, most of thee's pack has left for bed. I would not stay out much longer. The mosquitoes can get pretty bad." He thanked her and looked back in the flames, longing for home.

There was one problem, he was a Werewolf now. Every full moon, he had the possibility of loosing control. There was no way he could risk the safety of his family, friends, or frenemies for that matter.
