"I didn't expect you to be different."
"I didn't expect you to judge me so early."

Kiley cursed profanities under her breath as she heard haste footsteps behind her.
Does he seriously not know when to leave a girl alone?
The fact that the bus was nowhere in sight and the rumbling in her stomach didn't seem to cease didn't help the situation much either. Had she known she would have stayed much later than expected, she would have called someone to pick her up and maybe bring her to a drive-through for her long forgotten dinner.
Her patience thinned by the minute yet the steps came closer and were louder by the second. Whipping her hair around as she turned to face him to tell him off, she gasped in shock as he had advanced to her faster than she thought, causing herself to stumble backwards before she collided into a human wall.
Yet, her body probably thought it'd be a nice joke if it activated her weakness at just about right now as well; essentially taking away the strength she thought she had in her knees as she slipped when she moved backwards.
A string of curses screamed through her mind as she yelped at the loss of control. Closing her eyes to brace the impending impact that her body would make with the cold hard ground, she silently swore at whoever was playing around with her life today.
Fan-freaking-tastic, she thought as she felt no pain resonated through her skin. Now I've lost the ability to feel through my back.
"You can open your eyes now, Pretty." A deep voice said, bringing Kiley back from her thought as a chuckle followed after.
"Le..Let me go." She stuttered, a tinge of red creeping up her cheeks at an alarming speed. Untangling herself from his sturdy arms, she wrapped her arms around herself as insecurity pounded in her heart.
"Thank you." She mumbled, not forgetting her manners despite how much she hated the situation now.
"Bus's here." He stated, a small smile tugging at the ends of his plump lips as a sign of welcome. Cautiously, Kiley moved towards the incoming bus and tapped on, noticing how he had done the same.
He even sat next to her on the bus. For crying out loud, what is going on? She questioned in her thoughts, pursing her lips in curiosity.
She was highly tempted to pose the burning question but she held true to what she had said earlier. All she wanted was zilch drama and actually knowing him threatened that.
The bus slowly came to a stop as it neared her house. She tentatively stood up and descended the steps to the bus stop as per norm, silently hoping that he was just coincidentally boarding a similar bus.
"So, where do you live?" Guess it wasn't coincidental then, she thought as she groaned inwardly.
"I just said-" Kiley sighed before she was cut off with a hand held up before her.
"I know but I don't care either. Look I have no right to hold you to be eternally grateful to what I did the other day," He started, lowering his hand as he spoke more than a sentence since they boarded the bus. "And I won't trouble you with what happened between him and I even though I despise the fact that a girl like you is attached to him but if we're going to dance together, be it as a pair or group, I'm going to have to get to know you and your style."
"Plus, I'm not that bad a guy, alright? I know how to be a gentleman and escort a girl home, especially if she's travelling alone in the middle of the night." He stated in a matter of fact tone. Shrugging off the speechless look she gave him, he turned to walk off on the pathway down her neighbourhood.
