Friend or Foe

"Fake is the new trend and everyone seems to be in style."
Last night's party had already gone viral and it didn't take long for everyone in school to know that he was back. Kiley noticed the looks thrown in Jackson's way, but it was the hint of worry she took note of in every single glance that got her suspicious of the situation.
Needless to say, when they reached the cafeteria it was as if a wanted fugitive had entered a police station willingly; everything fell silent. Everyone turned to look at the group of them, especially a particular someone. It was as if they were expecting a delayed reaction or statement since the party before.
“Y’know I’m not sure if we’re extremely appealing today, but everyone seems to be looking at us.” Clark says as he cast furtive glances around the cafeteria.
“You can stop admiring us and go back to your food now.” Allison stated loudly, returning the looks of distaste from others and unknowingly earning a grin from Clark himself.
“Since when were you so straightforward?” He chuckled, nudging her shoulder playfully.
“Well, I’ve learnt from the best.” She winked in reply. "Plus I'm having a terrible hangover so maybe that's why." She jokes, rubbing her sore head as she did.
Clark's cheeks seemingly pinked as he cleared his throat and coughed out a reply before scurrying off to the table.
"What's with him?" Allison whispered to Kiley, fear etched onto her face. It wasn't unknown to her how badly she could become when she was drunk. "I didn't say something stupid again, did I?"
"I honestly wished I knew but..." She squeaked, shrugging her shoulders apologetically.
"But what!?" Allison screeched in the softest volume she had to avoid attention as she grabbed onto Kiley's shoulders. One could only get frantic when you realise you may have screwed up in front of your crush unknowingly.
Also, since he was her crush, it didn't take her more than a knowing look from her best friend for her to realise what had gone down yesterday.
"He offered to take care of me because you two were there, didn't he?" She groaned, walking off with Kiley to their table. "God, if even his fruit punch sucks, I'm never trusting a fruit punch bowl ever again."
"Gee, so you listen to your crush but not your best friend about fruit punch at parties?" Kiley scoffed.
"Hey, in my defence, you have zilch knowledge about parties." She pointedly stated, sticking her tongue out in victory at Kiley.
"Whatever," She rolled her eyes, laughing at the cold hard truth. Kiley was never a party person, she preferred indoors more than anyone else. Maybe it was her soft bed or alluring laptop but she just found it nicer to just stay inside. Truth be told, Kiley had found out about the punch bowl on Tumblr and decided she should warn her party girl for a best friend.
"What am I going to do?" She groaned again, frowning as they placed their food on the round table.
"About what?" Jayson asked, munching on his fries openly as he took a seat with the other guys.
