Working with His Enemy

"I shouldn't be having these nightmares but I am and it terrifies me so much to the extent that I've become a nightmare dressed as a daydream."

Tick tock...
Tick tock...
Tick tock...
Kiley gazed longingly at the clock as it moved its arms at a snail pace, seemingly extending the duration of her torture. She should have been at practice by now, with her dance shoes laced on and her hair tied up in a high pony, just the way she always liked it. She never pinned herself as a ballerina with a high bun that sat atop her head every dance anyways. It was exhilarating just to feel the wind swept her hair in the desired directions, moving in sync with her body and the music.
She sighed in content at just the thought of dancing. When will this hell ever end? She thought, twirling her pencil around her slender fingers as she rested her head on her other palm.
Never!
Kiley jumped at the loud voice that boomed throughout the classroom. All of the sudden, everything began to shift and blur around her.
"What are you doing here?" A voice asked as a figure took form before her very eyes. It was Jackson.
She had been trying to 'wing it' as Allison had said it, and avoid today's training with Jackson. The last thing she needed was him breathing down her neck about being late to school and earning detention which, she mimics, "will ruin his chance of getting the scholarship".
It wasn't as if she wanted to lower his possibilities of getting it anyways; she'd do anything for him and she wanted the best for him, after all don't all girlfriends want their partners to excel?
"J...Jackson?" She stuttered, still in shock from everything that has been happening.
"I asked you a question Kiley," He began, taking steps towards her desk. "What do you think you're doing?"
She could feel the anger seething from his gaze as he inched closer towards her. It was making her extremely nervous and worried. She was trying to pry her lips apart to answer him so as to avoid any misunderstandings that could be forming in his head right now, yet she couldn't. It was as if her lips were super glued together and the thought of that made her even more terrified.
Through her muffled cries of protest, she waved her hands in front of her in an attempt to cool his anger. As expected, it didn't work.
"Kiley Evan Brooks," He hissed as his broad hands clasped around her tiny wrists. She withered under his tight grasp, begging silently for him to listen to her first. "What do you think you're doing?!" He shouted straight into her face.
Kiley didn't know where his sudden hulk-like strength came from but she felt as though he was breaking her wrists just from his grip on her. It was beginning to feel more of an excruciating pain rather than just a tight hold. Kiley wasn't normally one to scream from pain but this literally felt as though someone had placed her wrists beneath a car and ran over it; in simple words, it was bone-breaking painful.
So she sent out a high pitched scream and when she blinked again, the truth finally dawned on her.
It was just a dream. Beats of perspiration were actually trailing down her neck as she stared wide-eyed at the classroom in reality where everyone stared back at her, and she couldn't help but notice the quizzical looks from Allison and Jackson as well.
