(Y/n) held the meat she had in hand tightly as she walked the woods. The wind pushing (Y/n) from side to side. A storm was coming but she was more worried about something else. She walked into the dark cave and held a flashlight out to guide her.
She clicked her tongue trying to bring out the animals. She heard shuffling around the cave, but the cave echoed, she wasn't able to tell where the sound was exactly coming from. (Y/n) continued to walk until she got to the back of the cave, spotting the small bear cubs. Only 2 cubs.
She smiled at the sleeping cubs. A month ago she witnessed the mother bear protect the cubs from a hunter. She started to feed the cubs in the mother's place. She also got the hunter arrested for killing a brown bear. You weren't even supposed to hunt in this forest let alone a bear. She was sure he was out by now, but she didn't care.
She quietly walked up to the cubs and started to pet them, in order to slowly wake them up. She wanted to make sure that they will be safe during the storm, and they had a full stomach. The cubs at first were very wary of (Y/n), but over time they learned she didn't want to hurt them, and so they thought of (Y/n) as their mother.
They both slowly lifted their heads and looked at (Y/n). "Time to eat" (Y/n) mumbled softly. (Y/n) was completely unaware of the man that watched her in the shadows. She stood up and grabbed one of the meats in her hand as the cubs both stood up. (Y/n) handed each of them a big chunk of meat and they started to eat.
The wind from outside made it hard for (Y/n) to hear anything around her. And when the rain started, she didn't really hear anything then the cubs. You see, (Y/n) has great hearing, better than the normal humans hearing. She could hear heartbeats from miles away, voices from miles away, even footsteps from miles away. But the rain blocked out her hearing, making it to a normal human's hearing.
"Looks like I'll be staying here till the storm has passes ~" (Y/n) mumbled to herself as she sat down and leaned her back against the cave wall. "I won't be able to make a home in the wind and the rain..."
(Y/n) looked at the cubs as they tried to finish their meal. (Y/n) yawned and closed her eyes. She felt the cubs lay their head on each side of (Y/n)'s lap. (Y/n) smiled softly and pet them both. (Y/n) slowly started to drift off to sleep. The man walked out of the shadows and looked down at (Y/n).
He needed a place to hide and rest until his wounds healed and he could shake off the fever he had. He had just escaped a bird monster and found the cave. He never saw the cubs due to the dark, but he didn't expect a girl to come into the cave. "I just can't get a break, can I?" He whispered to himself as he looked down at the lovely girl. He was captured by her beauty.
She looked so peaceful while she slept. He looked at the cubs laying on her. Doesn't she know it's dangerous to be around cubs... The mother will kill her He thought.
That's when the white hair man heard footsteps enter the cave. He groaned and hid in the shadows once again. (Y/n) gasped also hearing the footsteps. They immediately woke her up. She opened her eyes and looked at the entrance to the cave. "Where is that girl... How dare she" She heard a familiar voice. She also heard a gun being cocked.
(Y/n) picked up the cubs waking them up and stood up quietly as she tried to hide the dark, in hopes that the man wouldn't find her. But her luck had run out. "There you are!" The man yelled holding a gun to (Y/n). "You got me arrested for the smallest thing-"
"You killed a mother bear! These are her cubs! They don't have a mother thanks to you! They won't be able to survive easily! I can't teach them how to hunt or fight! All I can do is feed them" (Y/n) said cutting the man off. "You weren't even supposed to be hunting in the forest and killing bears are illegal anyway"
"Shut up!" The man yelled. "You are just a kid! And a helpless little girl... But a cute one~... I'll tell you what... I'll spare you life if you... Give me some entertainment-" The man was cut off by a chop to the neck, knocking him out immediately. (Y/n) looked to see who did it. The white-haired man that watched her.
"I hate men like him... Are you okay miss?" He asked.
(Y/n) stared at him. "... A-Are you okay?! You are badly hurt!!" (Y/n) said setting down the cubs and running up to him. "And you have claw marks in your shoulders!"
"I'll be fine... But thank you for worrying" He said. "... So... You are taking care of the cubs?"
(Y/n) looked at the cubs at her feet. "That is Airashi and that is Kawaii... My name is (Y/n)" (Y/n) said looking up at the man.
"... So you named them Adorable and Cute?" The man chuckled. "My name is Garou... It's nice to meet you"
