My Cute Monster (Garou X Reader)

Chapter 3

"You heard them? That's not possible. We were at least 10 or even 20 miles away" Garou said. 

"For me... It's easy to hear that far away... Now maybe a couple of hundreds of miles... That can be a different story. I would really have to focus... But thousands... I wouldn't be able to hear" (Y/n) mumbled. "... I have better hearing than the normal human... But there is always a downside. Normal noises to other people are too loud for me" (Y/n) mumbled. "... I can even sometimes hear thoughts... I can hear what people are talking about when I sleep... People found it creepy... They called me a monster... Even my own parents... But my brother stood up for me. Even though we might not get along... He has always been there for me when I needed him the most. He told me he wanted me to become a hero because he is strong... And I am smart... He actually wanted us to work together~... But I also still think he just wants to prove he is stronger than me"

(Y/n) looked down at her feet. "So... Even your parents?" Garou said remembering his childhood. 

"They called me a monster" (Y/n) mumbled. 

"It sounds to me that you have a reason to hurt everyone then" They heard the Phoenix say. "You can become a real monster and take your revenge"

(Y/n) softly giggled and stood up. "Sorry, not going to happen mister birdy" (Y/n) said seemingly stronger. "My brother would probably kill me~... Even if he knew it was me"

"Sorry to hear that," the phoenix said. "... Looks like we will have to force you"

"I have an idea!! Let us go... I can't fight... And All I'm good with is spying~... On top of that... What makes you think Garou and I will bend to your will even after you turn us into a monster. You are only giving us more power to escape and get away from you" (Y/n) said. 

"But you will be monsters... What makes you think society will accept you?" The titan said. 

"I have been called a monster my whole life. And Garou already calls himself a monster. He is the hero hunter" (Y/n) said Garou was surprised. 

"Wait, you knew?" Garou said. 

"Yeah, I do my research" (Y/n) said. "So we have no problem with it. We are used to it. We don't have to go back to the city. I'm sure we can make a living in the woods... Or we can find a way to be turned back to human..."

"She is smart," The titan said. 

"And good at negotiating," The phoenix said. "You are right... But what will happen if we say... If you don't do what we want, we will kill your brother"

(Y/n) tensed up. (Y/n) balled her fists up. Garou looked at (Y/n). "Garou was going to end up hurting him anyway... So why help him in the first place?" The phoenix said. 

(Y/n) looked at Garou. She looked away and sat down. "... That's what I thought," The phoenix said. 

Garou looked down at (Y/n). "Hey..." Garou said. "... I don't kill the heroes"

(Y/n) hugged her legs as they stopped. "Did you find them?" Said another voice. 

"Yes," The titan said. 

"Everyone has a reason for doing something... Let it be that they hate a person or the people, or that they were just bored" (Y/n) mumbled. "... There is a bunch of monsters~... I... I'm scared... What's going to happen to us Garou?" (Y/n) looked up at Garou with tears in her eyes. "Airashi and Kawaii were probably scared too..."

"... I promise I won't let anything bad happen to you," Garou said. 

That's when they were dropped onto the floor in front of a bunch of monsters and the king. Garou landed on his feet while (Y/n) landed on her knees. Garou looked around. He knew it was too many monsters to kill... Even for him. On top of that, making sure (Y/n) was safe and also he was injured.

"G-Garou~" (Y/n) said looking up at the huge monster in front of them. (Y/n) stood up and hid behind Garou. 

"Garou, (Y/n)... We mean you both no harm" Said a monster with one huge eye.
