Living a rather plain, lax, and all around boring life, Kyoya was never the one to mess around. With a white box of numbers counting down attached to his chest, he hopes to prolong his uneventful story. Years of experience had taught him to lie low, to not entertain thrill and excitement, and not to love, as it only leads early to the doors of the underworld.
Until,
"Good morning, everyone! I am lady Mayu Mimori of the Mimori Palace. Pleased to meet all of you!" A lady with silver blonde hair with what seemed to be faded rainbow tips gleefully yet elegantly introduced herself.
The tranced Kyoya sat in awe while the rest of the class were welcoming Mayu with claps and a few murmurs of the usual gossip of the ladies in front of him like,
"Mimori Palace? Are her parents the founders of THE famous Mimori Symphonic Orchestra?"
"I can't believe their only daughter will be transferring here during 4th year. Also, isn't she a music prodigy?"
"I've seen her play piano along with the orchestra when we were kids before..."
"Really? How lucky! I've heard the seats costs a fortune yet still manages to sold out within minutes."
"Truly, though she only played twice. I only watched the recent one she did after graduating middle school, but I heard she played when she was six."
"How amusing... though isn't that hair color a bit too flashy for someone like her? She was raised as a fragile princess being the only girl born in their family."The girls managed to stop their chattering when Mayu walked up near Kyoya's desk and sat next to him. "Ootori-san, would you mind if lady Mimori sat next to you?" Their adviser asked Kyoya which snapped him out of his trance and reply with a curt nod.
The moment Kyoya realized how he acted, he had a bad feeling in his gut.
He knew Mayu's reputation as he heard from his family. She was said to be quite reckless and adventurous. It was a rebellious phase, he concluded.But... with a tap on his shoulder, a flash of a beautiful smile, and the words of, "Hi! Wanna be friends?" Kyoya knew his gut was warning him about something that endangers him. The red flags were there. He knew there will be trouble he'll get into if he made friends with her, but funny enough he smiles back and gladly introduces himself, "Kyoya Ootori. Nice to meet you, friend."
And thus, Kyoya's life started to change, as for the first time after almost ten years of calm, his heart raced with excitement.
