Chapter 2

Ai POV
"Well Naruto, how would you like for me to walk you home? It's dangerous to walk around at night, and i wouldn't be at peace knowing something could happen to you. " She smiled kindly at naruto.

Naruto's eyes brightened up at that but then confusion swarmed in his eyes.
"But..why? Why would you do that for me? I-I don't understand. " He said while looking down.

"Hmm why you ask? Well perhaps...simply i can't stand for the way you're treated, and such having no one there. You also remind me of myself i guess...and i want to be there for you. " She said.

Accepting her answer he said "then let's go! Ai-neechan!"

She then smiled, ruffled his hair and they started walking to Naruto's appartment.

As they arrived at his house...
Ai sighed and said. "Naruto, it is not healthy to leave the house in a mess, so i shall help you clean up okay?"

Naruto pouted not liking cleaning but accepted it.

Then they started cleaning and after they were done, Ai bid him goodnight and went home.

Birds chirping in the distance, Ai wakes up and makes her way to the hospital, being a medic she is capable of many things, having trained under one of the legendary sanin known as Tsunade she is a great help to the sick.

As she heals one of her last patients, the comforting green glow disappearing
"There. it's all done now, you should be fit and healthy now Kakashi-san." she says while smiling.

"You should be careful okay?"

"Ahaha, thanks Ai-san i really appreciate it. I should get going now. I'll see you around. " Kakashi replies with a one eyed smile.

After finishing her job, she heads over to the academy to see Naruto.

"Naruto!! where are you?"
Her voice echoes into the distance and soon hears...

"Ai-neechan i'm here!!" running quickly he stops in front of her with a wide grin on his face.

"Let's go, i'll make dinner, i'm sure you definately need to eat something healthier than ramen all the time. "

As she said that, they went ahead.

Arriving at her house, she says "Naruto you can sit in the living room while i prepare dinner, if you're interested theres a few books on ninjutsu. "

"Haii~!!!"

"Dinner's ready!"

And now as they eat dinner together, there is a nice atmosphere that both enjoy, not havin to deal with the loneliness there . Having food with someone makes the taste even better as some say, Ai didn't believe this at first but now she does.

The feeling and warmth of a family is felt by both.

"It's getting late, would you like to sleep here Naruto?"

"Umm....well...if it's okay with you.." naruto looks down shyly.

"Of course! i'll get the blankets!"

After sorting out everything they sleep
"Goodnight. Naruto. "

"Good night nee-chan..."

Ai wakes up early in the morning as she is an early riser, she gets ready to leave for work and also to go see the hokage. Seeing naruto blissfully sleeping, she leaves a note behind for him.

Now as she goes to visit the Hokage, she knocks but feels slightly nervous.

'What if he doesn't agree?'

"Come in. " A rough kind voice says.

Pushing the door open, she steps in and bows respectfully.

And then asks

"Hokage-sama, i have a favour or you could say more of a request to ask. "

"What is it my child?"

"I have recently come across yondaime hokage-sama and kushina-san's child, Naruto. It seems as though i've been left out on a secret.....But back to the point i feel that he shouldn't be alone, a child should not have to fend for themselves like that, and so i have come to the decision to ask for an adoption, i would like to become his mother. Naruto ...he needs someone there for him and i also promised Kushina-san and yondaime- no shall i say minato-san that if they were to have a child i would take care of them."

She finishes and kneel before him, hoping for a yes.

The hokage takes a deep breath, having a moment to think before replying as he puffs out some smoke.

"Very well, have you talked to him about it yet?"

"Not yet, i thought it would be best to be certain i can adopt him in case i raise his hopes and leave them to be crushed. But thank you...so much Hokage-sama. I shall take my leave now. "

Ai says and then disappears in a whirl of wind.

As she picks naruto up from the academy again, which has become a daily routine now.

"Naruto!! how was your day?"

"Nee-chan! it was not bad! except for everyone always paying attention to that teme! hmpth!" he says and crosses his arms.

"May i ask who exactly that is?"

"I think...his name's daisuke? no dai- no sa-sa sasuke!! that's it! uchiha sasuke! tch thinking he's better than everyone. "

Ai laughs while sweatdropping. "Well, you never know, you guys might become bestfriends someday! and i have something to ask you, how would you like to live with me, and we can become a family together, officially?

Naruto stops and stares at her, shocked.

Then tears start building up in his eyes, as he quivers.

"Er--naruto!?? umm... It's o-okay if you d-don't want to- i mean- yeah i won't be - offended or anything!" she says frantically.

Naruto then denies "No! its- its not that! i'm just really happy.... of course! i'd love to Ai-neechan!"

And so they started to get their living arrangements changed and became family. It is the start of something wonderful for the both.
