Because i'm lazy and the part with gato and inari's dad is not exactly necessary i'm going to skip it. :3 and long time no see!! so sorry for long updates, i've been to busy and lost motivation to write ><, but thanks to my fellow readers' wonderful comments i'll try my best to update.
Chapter 12 The battle on the bridge
After a week of training and recovering, they had all mastered tree walking and the time of the battle was nearing.
"I'll leave Naruto to you now." Kakashi said to Tsunami and then team 7 and Tazuna headed off to the bridge.
Brushing Naruto's hair from his face, Ai gave a gentle smile and mumured "rest well Naru-chan" and then she stood up and left with the others.
When arriving on the bridge, a mist of fog rolled in as Tazuna exclaimed "Wha--?! what happened here?" upon discovering some of his men unconscious on the floor. Ai kneeled down carefully and checked their pulses, "They're still alive... they'll be fine" she carefully manoeuvered them and placed them to a safer place.
Kakashi alerted them "He's here!! Ai! Sasuke! Sakura! Be ready!" Everyone took their positions to protect Tazuna.
"This is the hidden mist jutsu right sensei?" Sakura asked.
"Yes it is" Kakashi answered.
"I see you have those brats with you again Kakashi, that one's trembling there" Zabuza faced them with a smug smile printed on his face.
Ai looked over to Sasuke to check if he was alright but seeing him smirk and saying "I'm shaking...with excitement" She smiled and felt proud of him.
Kakashi and Ai nodded to each other "Sasuke, do it" after being given the signal he took off and defeated all the water clones until they were all puddles.
"It seems that we were right after all, that boy with the anbu mask, all of that was a lie huh?"
Sasuke added "No matter, you can tell he is Zabuza's comrade."
Then as Sasuke took off to fight the masked ninja, Kakashi shouted "Protect Tazuna, that's our first priority!" as he faced Zabuza. Then Sasuke was able to push back the masked kid onto the ground where he lay by Zabuza.
"You shouldn't be underestimating my team Zabuza, Sasuke there is the number one rookie of our village, Sakura is our sharpest mind and Naruto is our number one hyperactive ninja, don't forget Ai here is the sealing mistress. We also outnumber you too. " Kakashi stated proudly and believing in his team's skills. Ai smirked and added "don't think we're going down so easily, because we're going to stop you from harming Tazuna."
"Looks like you're not as fast as you seem" Sasuke commented towards the boy.
"Haku. At this rate you're going to be pushed back, show them what you've got." Haku nodded and stepped forward facing Sasuke "You may have kept up until now but from this moment on you won't be able to keep up with my speed...also I have 2 advantages."
Ai tensed up looking worried for Sasuke and being ready to counter. Looking over towards the boy as he continued. "First, we're surrounded by water and you won't be able to even comprehend my speed"
He then held up one hand to do a jutsu.
Ai thought 'Impossible! How can he do a jutsu with one hand?!'
"Hidden jutsu: a thousands needles of death" and then iced mirrors started to form around the boy and sasuke. Ai was about to run towards them but was stopped by a sword almost skimming her face but she jumped back and summoned her sword.
"Stop there, why don't we see which of our students are stronger?" Zabuza looked at Kakashi and Ai with a smirk as he placed his sword in front of him ready to fight.
Knowing that they both couldn't help, Ai couldn't help but feel like something bad will occur sooner or later.
