"What have I done?"

Eret cursed under his breath. Why did he think betraying the enterprises was a good idea anyways? He read the fine print when he first joined:

Resigning from the Manhunt Enterprises without approval from one of the company leads will result in execution, NO EXCEPTIONS.

Arrows rained through the air, his once quiet and tranquil castle turning into a bloody hunting ground, him being the prey. Eret ran madly through the hallway, not stopping for a second knowing how deadly the hunter they sent to execute him was. He dove headfirst into the safe room and, without any remorse for the guards outside who were in danger, closed the door shut and locked himself in. Never give mercy, this was Eret's most important lesson he learned at his time in the enterprises.

"How did they find me?!" Eret yelled madly in the room, his doom being only a few feet from him. "I moved thousands of blocks away, and wore several disguises for this?" While being scared for his life, Eret knew deep down that this was no surprise, as the person that was hunting him could do about anything.

Despite their boss' betrayal, his guards tried fruitless to protect Eret, barricading the 'safe' room. But, indicated by the dozens of screams that rang outside of the room, they were very unsuccessful.

"Should've never taken that deal," Eret muttered desperately, almost hoping that the beast outside hunting him would hear his fruitless attempts as a plea for mercy and spare him. "Should've never signed that contract. Should've never been apart of this in the first pla-"

His pleads were cut short by a faint, but noticeable hissing sound outside of the room. It took him a second to realize what it was, but when he did, Eret's eyes bulged and he ran to the other side of the room.

BOOM!

Eret cowered in the corner as the door exploded, filled the room into a mess of rubble and smoke. He focused his vision to see a tall, threatening silhouette. Holding a flint-and-steel in one hand, and a fierce diamond axe in another, Eret recognized all too well the person baring those weapons.

"Long time no see, Dream

Been a while, hasn't it?"

Running out of options, he pulled out a sword in a hidden compartment and swung. His efforts proved to be futile, as the attack was quickly parried by Dream's shield and the weapon flew across the room, erasing Eret's last hopes for survival.

"Come on Dream, we all know that I meant no harm in my betrayal."

Dream advanced towards him, showing him the futility of his pleads.

"Please Dream! We're friends! We're like family!"

Right then, being a rarity, Dream lost his cool and calm composure. He look confused, hurt, and angry all in one fierce expression. He regained his composition, this time more angry than people. He kicked Eret hard across the room.

As Eret winced in panic, Dream went down and spoke to Eret: "I have no family, no friends, and even if I did, even if you were mine, you'd think I'd risk my job for you?"

The axe was swug down on him, thus completing Dream's bounty.
