The apartment not being too far away, he ran home, only to find George sitting out his bed, his back turned from the entrance.. Dream knocked on the wall to indicate his presence, which made George jump a bit and turn to Dream.

"Look, Dream," George began to say, words stammering from his mouth. "It's just that, I should probably tell you about my past, huh?"

Dream stood there, eyes focused on George, indicating that he's got his full attention.
With that, George began to tell the story.

"A while ago, I was younger, I meet another boy at my school. He was tall, had dark, smooth hair, and a pale, beautiful face. We hung out a lot, ate lunch, riding our bikes, and wrote songs together. Eventually, we caught feelings for one another and, one night, I was invited over so our parents could meet one another. So, me and my mom, with my dad being out of the picture, got to their house and had dinner with him and his parents. Then I went to his bathroom, and then I heard the door slam open, followed by a wave of screams. I figured it was them laughing wildly at a funny joke or something, so I didn't pay too much mind to it, but a queasy feeling still laid in my stomach. Then I got out, only to see my mom and his whole family murdered. It turns out that my boyfriend was part of Manhunt Enterprises, and he resigned in order to pursue a life with me, which didn't work. I cried a lot that night, losing the last of my family and the love of my life. I then moved into an adoption center, where I was abused and harassed by my foster parents. I was sold off to be protected under the enterprises that ruined my life just because they were too lazy to take care of me, and despite me being an adult, they were still under my responsibility because of a contract."

Dream's eyes watered a bit, sympathizing heavily with George's story and now knowing why he hid it.

"That's why I pulled away from the kiss. I caught feelings, but I don't want to lose someone else to the enterprises. Not someone I love again. So I'm sorry, I can't be with you Dream."

George left the room, closing the door on the way, keeping Dream there, alone, like he's always been.
