Clay was underneath the floorboards. Screams filled the air above. It happened so fast. Just a moment ago, he and his sister were playing cards in her room. Then the door broke down, and strong burly men came inside and swung the swords. Clay pried the floorboard up and dove inside it.

He was terrified out of his mind. And he just left his family up there. He heard his mom screamed, followed by the sound of a swift sword shining. His family were getting murdered up there, and there was nothing he could do. Nothing he was brave enough to do. Then the floorboard was pried open, exposing Clay. He screamed, begging for mercy, but the crossbow up against his forehead, the man finally pressed the trigger and-

Dream rose up in bed then. He panicked, barely managing to maintain his breath. Until his other nightmares, Dream had made quite the ruckus from this one, thus waking up George who was sleeping next to him.

"Dream are you ok?" George shouted after regaining consciousness.

He tried comforting Dream, but Dream leaped off the bed and stood there.

"George? I lied. I was never better, I just did a better job hiding it. I can't live with it. I can't live with the fact that those monsters that killed my family are out there. I don't care if my mom's ok with it, I'm not. I need revenge. I need it George."

"Dream, this isn't going to help anything. Let's say you kill them, what's next? You'll automatically be better? You'll be fine afterwards? Please Dream. Please don't do this to me. Don't do this to yourself."

"George, I promise that I'll get the information I need, get the murderers, and we'll live a happy life. I'll be better knowing that they're gone, and we can be happy."

"We WERE happy!"

After screaming out of frustration, George sighed and shook his head. After an awkward period of silence, one that was similar to when they first met.

George began to talk again. "Fine, go. I can't make you not go anymore."

Dream put on a different set of clothes, got out his weapons, and headed out.

"I'll be back George. I promise."

George was looking back, but nodded towards him. Then Dream left, ready to finally learn the truth.
