If Only We Could |AoiNene

A soft sigh escaped from a girl's lips as she silently yet peacefully water the plants, that were took in in the classroom. It was past three in the afternoon already, most of the class were out of the room, some went home while others had club activities and a little percent of them getting detention.

Aoi Akane, a gorgeous fifteen year old highschool student, was all by herself in the room. She is known for being the most beautiful girl in the whole school, even people outside of the campus have heard of her. She got countless of admirers too. It is most of the girls dreams, being loved by dozens of peopls, but in Aoi's case, it's her nightmare.

They won't leave her alone and will annoy every inch of her. Ofcourse, she got quite a good reputation, and she doesn't want that to drop low and give herself a bad image, so her only way to keep it like that is to just play nice as possible as she could even at the time she wants to burst all her annoyance out.

She felt bad for her so called admirers, their efforts are outstanding and all she did was  declining all of their offers to go out with them. Too bad, she already has someone having that specific special place in her heart that many were competing to.

"Aoi-chan!" A voice chimed in, cutting off the long trail of thoughts in the indigonette's head and making her flinch a little. Aoi places down the water can and smiled brightly at the newly presence she felt.

"Hello, Nene-chan! Is your punishment already done?" Aoi asked. Nene nodded happily and drank the remaining water from her water bottle. The indigonette smiled and patted the back of her best friend's head. "We're walking home together?"

"Hell, yeah!"

After packing up their stuff, the duo went to the entrance of the school campus to change their shoes before officially going home. On their way there, Nene can't stop talking about what she has gone through for today. The cream blonde groaning sentence after sentence, Aoi pitying while understanding the girl's mood.

"I didn't even do anything! Infact, the toilet stinks so bad! like.. really bad! Who the hell pees and walks out without flushing?! That's totally disgusting!" Nene complained and shuts her locker up.

Aoi extended her hands towards her head and pats it again for Nene to calm down fast. "There, there, Nene-chan." She comforted. "I'm sure a little karma will come to them. Hopefully breaking their own bones. "

"Aoi?!"

"What?"

"I hope so, but we shouldn't be thinking too far."

Her violet eyes rolled in a playful manner and she laughed afterwards, their voices echoing louder against the semi-empty hallway. "Well, They shouldn't mess up with you in the first place, you know? " She added, in which Nene agreed instantly.

"I swear, if I see Amane-kun again, I'm going to strangle him to death!" Nene growled, trying to crack up her fingers that eventually failed. Aoi could only chuckle at her annoyed expression. Oh, if only she could freely express herself like that.

Their ten minutes of walking was silence, they both had no idea on where they are heading but their feet does. "Hey Nene-chan. Wanna grab something to bite?" Aoi offered up, taking out her wallet from her uniform pocket and waving it at the ruby eyed girl.

Nene's face then blooms in a soft smile and nodded. "Are you sure it's going to be your treat?" She asked but the indigonette wraps her hand around hers, pulling Nene closer to her as they walk down the street and taking a turn to the left. "Yep! Why would I ask you if I won't?"

"Oh... damn I'm so dumb."

"You passed the exam."

"That still doesn't prove my intelligence. I cheated a bit, you know?"

"Who said you're the only one?"

"Wait... Aoi?!"

The aforementioned girl laughed loudly while Nene stares at her face with a shocked look. Yes, she might be acting unladylike, but atleast let herself be free with someone she felt safe and special with, even just for a little while.

Aoi slumps down on her bed and hugged her huge radish-shaped pillow tightly. Her smile was still plastered on her face, no sign of fading too soon. Their time might only be so short but Aoi knew it was perfectly worth it.

A certain person flashed in her mind. She covers her eyes and curls herself up in bed, messing up her sheets as she squeals a little louder than before. "Gosh, why can't I stop blushing?" She murmured before sighing for the nth time for the day.

Before she even knew it, her eyes shut down on their own, slowly letting the gorgeous girl lift away to her dreamland for tonight. Mumbling a name, she smiled again one last time and ended her day.

"Nene."

chapters will be much  more shorter than how I usually write/ than the other books. I can say my writing kinda upgraded so yeah... not cringy anymore.
