Aoi's POV:

It's lunch time already and I'm walking alone down the hallway to the cafeteria. I wanted Nene-chan to come with me today but before I could even ask her, she was gone from her seat. I don't have any informations on where did she go but I'm sure she's just wandering off to find a boyfriend, like she usually talks about.

I heaved a sigh as I now arrived at the area I'm going to. I quickly bought two strawberry milk and walked out of the cafeteria right when a boy was about to approach me. It's mildly infuriating on how these guys won't stop trying on talking to me.

I came back to my room and saw Akane-kun and Lemon-kun having a chat. I wanted to have a word with my cousin but he was also nowhere to be found. Probably having an argument with the school council president again.

Him and Minamoto-senpai don't get along too well for some reasons. Everytime they pass by each other, just their glare is enough to sense how badly they are against to one another.

"Ao-chan!"

I looked up and gave Akane-kun a smile as he walks to me. "Hello, Akane-kun. How can I help you?" I greeted him. My eyes widen when he gave me a blue rectangular container.

I stared at him in confusion but he just gave me a wide smile. "Share it with Yashiro-san if you like. I got an extra so I want to give it to you." He explained and was about to walk away when I called him again.

"W-why?"

"Because... I like you. That's all. " Was the last thing he said before dashing out of the room with Lemon-kun following him. What does he even mean by that? I shrug my shoulders and out the container to my bag.

My eyes then stared at Nene's desk. Hmm... I wonder where she ran off to.

It's unusual for her to just ran off without my acknowledgement. We trust each other that we know where we are. I like a straw to the box' hole and sip on my strawberry milk. Maybe I should look for her?

I hesitated to stand up. I'm too scared and annoyed to face those students waiting for me outside. Maybe a call wouldn't hurt to disturb.

I opened my phone and instantly dialed her number. As I waited for her to answer the call, my eyes can't leave on her desk. I really can't deny how beautiful the scenery is from where I am, but it just felt like it is incomplete.

"Moshi moshi?"

I then smiled the moment I heard her voice. I sighed in relief and began to scold her for disappearing. "Hey, Nene-chan! Where are you? I have been looking for you everywhere! I am so worried! But now I'm relieved to hear your voice."

I hid my face on the desk when I said the last sentence. Nene-chan chuckled from the other line.

"Really? Aw! You're too adorable, Aoi!"

Oh my gosh. My face have heated up more when she said that. Nene-chan, why so thoughtful?!

"A-anyways... Uhm..."

"Are you okay? You sounded weak just now."

"Nothing! Really. I just choked on my drink. No worries."

"What? Aoi! Be careful! You shouldn't drink to fast! If you become sick, I'm going to smack you!"

I just laughed softly. "Nene-chan. I'm the one who will smack you. Now where are you?" I asked once again and waited for her response.

"At the library. With Nanamine-senpai."

Nanamine? Have I met her before? Is she Nene's friend from the senior that she has been talking about that is a part of the broadcasting club?

"I'll be right there." I hung up the call and put my phone to my pocket. I finished up my milk and walked out of the classroom, throwing the liter by the bin I'm passing.

Sometimes, I wonder how many friends, other than me, has Nene-chan has? She befriended our third-year science teacher, Tsuchigomori-sensei, and even one of his students were Nene's friend. Not to mention the seniors are close to her too.

What if she forgot about me that's why she left without any warning?

No. Nene-chan won't leave me behind. She loves me.

I softly coughed at my last thought. Ofcourse, she loves me as her best friend. Haha. Not like she will see you the same, Aoi.

I stepped foot at the school library and I instantly saw Nene-chan having a conversation with a green haired girl. She is beautiful, even with her eyes half closed. She is probably in second or third year of highschool.

"Ah, Ao-chan!"

I flinched at the call. I smiled when Nene-chan greeted me, the girl beside her waving at me, too. "Nene-chan!" I whisper-shouted as I ran up to the table she is. I waved at the senpai as I got there.

Nene-chan grabs my hand, and honestly, I was deeply flustered. "Aoi, meet Sakura Nanamine-senpai. She is my friend from the third year. We met when we bumped in to each other after chasing the Yugis because they kinda caused troubles, which was a month ago. Nanamine-senpai, this is my best friend, Aoi Akane!"

"Nice to meet you, senpai." I said shortly and she said the same thing after. I stared at the pile of books that are with them. "Uhm, I didn't know you were that interested in occults."

I heard her giggle. "I don't know, it just suddenly sparks. Nanamine-senpai has the same reason why she is here so we decided to hang out even just for a while." She reasoned and I nodded.

She's too busy, huh? I can't go fast. I need to be patient...

And with that, I stayed with them until the bell rang, indicating that lunch is over. We bid our farewell to Nanamine-senpai, promising we will hang out again by the future.

Nene-chan, with that amount of people you have connections with, I hope you won't forget me.
