Ah, winter. Many people find it very pleasing and pretty in the eyes, while others don't. Aoi likes and dislikes it for many reasons. She loves the winter breeze and it's pretty white snow only if she's on a good mood and if she's not, then it will be the opposite.
And now, she felt very giddy since she is spending the first week of winter. her friends and Nene for the first time, alone. She hopes that they'll get to have the best time and maybe... get a chance to confess to Nene.
"Nene-chan! Hurrryyy up~" She shouted at the girl dragging a bag bugger than her petite figure. "Hold on for a minute!" Nene yelled back.
Aoi heard someone snort beside her. She looked at the person standing next to her with a glare enough to pierce someone's soul, and it instantly silenced the person.
"Why don't you help her? You're a guy." She said. "Fine, fine. Stop pinching me for once for god's sake." Amane said, lightly slapping his cousin's hands away from his sides that are ready to squeeze his skin out of himself.
Amane ran off to help the girl out of Aoi's order. The purple haired girl smiled when she heard a thank you from her beloved and her dear cousin suffering for once in a lifetime.
Not like she's that cruel towards him, for her, he deserves it because of him laughing at Nene's short misery which she wouldn't tolerate. Her thoughts then cut off when her aunt, Sumire, tapped her shoulders.
Sumire Akane, her aunt that acts around like a fifteen year old girl even though she's already around her mid 20s, agreed on taking them to where they are headed. Their destination is a lake that is a couple of kilometers away from their town.
"C'mon, Little Aoi, let's get going. Tell you friends to hurry up." Sumire smiled and went on the driver's seat. Aoi nodded and obediently did her little task.
"C'mon everyone! It's time to go now!" She shouted. "Okay, Ao-chan!" Akane shouted back as he then went inside the car.
"Thank you so much, Amane-kun! Sorry for the trouble though." Nene said after the ravenette closed the back of the car. "No worries." He replied. "I don't know what the hell are you bringing but I hope it's helpful later."
"Ofcourse it will, you idiot."
The remaining two hopped in the car, Aoi sitting between them. The purple haired girl was silent the moment they both talked. She doesn't know why but she just felt she's better of to be quiet and not mutter a word for the trip.
"Aoi? What's wrong?"
The aforementioned girl flinched and looked at Nene. Her heart beats faster at the way the cream blonde girl pout cutely at her, and only her. "Oh uhm... huh?"
Nene sighed and patted her best friend's head. "You seem to space out alot. Maybe you should take a nap. I can be the shoulder you can lean on." Aoi let out a soft, genuine smile and leans her head against the girl's shoulders.
"Thank you... I pretty much need rest." She mumbled, before dozing off as the vehicle they're riding on left the town.
While the other snores softly, Nene didn't realize she was staring at Aoi's face for a little while. She wouldn't have noticed if it weren't for their two middle-schooler friends (who tagged along in their plans) began bickering over a sachet of crackers.
"What the hell is the commotion?"
"Blond boy won't give some crackers to me!"
"You already ate three-forth of it!"
"Can I have some?"
"Shut up, rock boy."
"Respect your senpai, you lil fem boy."
Nene just blushed at her little actions and turns her head towards the window. Her imaginations began to change from the way they were earlier, with her best friends as the center of it's scenarios. None of the boys noticed her smiling secretly while they fight over (except for one person who tends to just laugh and record at their stupidity), and it is a good thing for Nene.
Sumire shook her head and chuckled. "Kids these days are pretty amusing." She mumbled, her eyes never leaving on the highway.

They now have arrived at their destination. They rented the cottage that is near the slowly-getting-frozen lake. All they could hear is their own voices and their own footsteps.
All of them were surprised on how no other people are on sight. Is this a private area? Are they even at the correct lake?
"Now, now, kiddos. A friend of mine owns this so don't be surprised. Just watch out for wild animals that might knock on your door." Sumire said, smiling sweetly at the bunch of fifteen and sixteen year olds.
"Thank you so much Auntie! Hey, could you.. uhm.. supervise us? You know... Someone thick might drown soon." Amane said shyly. He felt a piercing stare at the back of his head and he assumes it is probably Nene.
'Holy shit. They are soulmates.'
"Hmm... Soon. I'll just get something not far from here, 'kay, Moon rock? See ya!"
They bid a short farewell to the woman as she get in the car and left. Grabbing their stuff and dragging it to the cottage, none of them spoke except for Mitsuba Sousuke, who seems to enjoy singing loudly with his voice echoing through the area.
"Hey Nene-chan?"
The girl then turn her head towards her best friend. "Hmm? What is it?" she smiled curiously. Aoi smiled and points at the lake. "Wanna take a walk there?"
"Ah! Suree!"
The two girls giggled, both of their hearts unknowingly beating fast and warm as their cheeks turned light red. A feeling that Nene used to feel around with her past crushes. Could it be?
