chapter eight: confrontation

HELLO there. first off all i don't know how many of you are from turkey or what's exactly going on in turkey right now, i just saw some news on twitter.but as a member of LGBTQ+ community, i would like to say this: this is a direct violation of human rights and shouldn't be treated lightly! and now back to the story, ENJOY!

silence; the house was in dead silence, no sound was coming out of either of them. ender's eyes were traveling between şahika's face and her phone and şahika was just sitting near her on the sofa trying to process what she had just heard.

"and i killed her"

"başkanım you shouldn't feel guilty about this matter anymore, she betrayed you with that man!"

Hassan Ali laughed coldly "oh no, i don't feel guilty about killing them, but I still feel bad about cansu and mahmut. they were just children, they didn't deserve that. but well... life is cruel sometimes and some people have to pay for what their parents did."

well someone has been a busy boy!

so this was it. this is the big dirty secret they can use against him. şahika didn't know how to feel right know. on one hand she was very happy, they finally had something; this meant their plan can actually succeed. but on the other hand she was also scared, she had to admit that, this man was a master manipulator and now apparently a killer. if the person who got manipulated wasn't herself, she might have even admired him.

şahika looked over at ender, she was chalk white, eyes wide looking in front of her. she kind of looked like a cartoon character, it was highly amusing but şahika didn't dare laugh, this was a delicate situation and she knew ender would get angry at her. so she leaned forward and mover her hand in front of ender's face.

"ender! you suddenly turned into a statue! are you ok?"

when ender heard this, she turned and looked at şahika "ok?? what do you think şahika? do i look ok to you? no i'm not fine nor ok. i just heard someone confessing to murder."

şahika though ender was being a little over dramatic. it's not like they didn't expect something like this. "ender, honestly i don't understand why you're so shocked! i mean we knew he was a bad person, and now he turned out to be a murderer. and this is great news for us. get over it and be happy"

ender was looking at her like she was seeing her for the first time "get ov..! of course you are use to murderers and serial killers cause YOU ARE ONE. this maybe is pretty normal for you, but for me it's a big deal."

şahika rolled her eyes "yeah right! cause you have NEVER been in such a situation before, no one has tried to manipulate or murder you"

"exactly! YOU DID. you're aware that this is not helping your case don't you?"

şahika closed her eyes, took a deep breath and tried to calm herself down. then she opened her eyes and looked at ender, placed her hand on top of ender's hand "ender look! i know this is a huge shock for you, but arguing with each other isn't going to help us. please try to calm down and think rationally. apparently hassan ali killed his own wife and mahmut's father. and this two is connected to each other somehow. this can really help us convincing mahmut to help us bring hassan ali down"

ender didn't say anything she was just looking at their joined hands; şahika cleared her throat, withdraw her hand and put it in her lap "ahmm..aw i'm sorry i was just.."

ender shook her head "no it's ok, it worked. i..i'm feeling much more relax now thank you. you..umm you're right şahika. we definitely should research more about this. caner is gonna go to prison tomorrow anyway we'll find out more about it. but what are we going to do with mahmut?"
