The next morning I wake up to the sound of pecking at my window. I groan and roll over, but the sound continues. I look at the time, it's 7:30, ugh. I walk over to the window to see a very old beaten up looking owl looking at me desperately to be let in. I open the window and it flies over to the headboard on my bed and lands on it. I pet it for a while then take the letter. I open it to find two pieces of parchment with two sets of handwriting. I first read the one with the familiar handwriting.

Em,

I miss you so much! Mum and Percy have been driving me crazy. At least Bill has come home for the holidays. He can hex Percy without getting a letter from the ministry. Ron and Ginny have been asking me loads of questions about Hogwarts and it's beginning to get on my nerves. When will I get to see you again? Is there any way that we could meet up in Diagon Alley or something over the break? Anyways, I miss you and can't wait to see you again.

-George

I smile, and go to open the second letter, no doubt from his twin,

    Dear Em,

I didn't realize how much I'd miss you until you were gone! Mum has been driving me crazy and it's weird not being able to use magic freely. Bill and George are fine but everyone else is driving me nuts. Well, dad has been working a lot so he's fine. On the bright side, George and I have been practicing some quidditch so that we can try out for the Gryffindor team next year. We want to be beaters! Anyhow, that's really it. Write back! I miss you!

-Fred  (your favorite twin)

I laugh, and go over to my desk to grab a quill and some parchment to write down my responses.

Georgie,

I miss you too! Things are good around here though my parents have been acting kind of odd around each other. I do enjoy seeing my brother though. And my grandma is here! You know, the one I've told you about.  She's really cool. I think that you'd like her. Anyways, I really miss you too. I hope we can see each other soon.

Miss you,

Emmeline (not em!)

I seal my letter to George with my wax seal and set it to my left. I then get a fresh piece of parchment and begin my letter to Fred.

    Freddie,

Same here! I miss my boys more than I thought I would. And it is so weird to not use magic! I was so used to using it for everything in school. That's so exciting that you guys are trying out for the team! I think that I am going to try out for the Hufflepuff team as well. I think I want to be a chaser! Well, that's about it. I miss you!

-Emmeline

I hop out of bed, handing my response to Fred and George to the owl who gave them to me. I stroke him along his neck and open the window for him to fly out of. He gives me a sweet peck on my hand and flies away. I walk downstairs in my pajamas and sit at the breakfast table. My family is already seated and eating. Unlike me, they all enjoy mornings and find 7:30 late in the day.

"Well, well, well, look who's finally up." Juno smiles and pats on the open seat next to him. I groan in response and take the seat. I pick my favorite foods from the variety mum has made.

"So, the other day I remembered what good company the Weasleys are and I was wondering if you'd be okay if we invite them for a picnic in the gardens?" Mum asks me.

"That sounds great!" I say, happy to be able to see them again.

"Perfect I'll reach out to them soon." She says with a smile. We sit in an awkward silence before Grandma Zulu speaks up.
