I wake up to the sound of birds chirping and quidditch boots thumping. Seiko is already fully dressed for our match against Gryffindor today. Mar is sitting on her bed, donning her badger earrings.
"Morning lovely" Marissa calls to me as I open the curtains on my four poster. I yawn in response.
"Morning E" Seiko says tightly. She says she's not mad at me anymore, but I can feel the disappointment dripping off of her. I know I should feel bad, but I don't. Not about not telling her. The only person I regret not telling is George. I treated him like shit and I feel awful about it.
"Hey" I say quietly in response. Seiko leaves before I'm ready so it's just me and Marissa left in the dorm.
"I'm sorry about her" Marissa says eventually.
"Don't be. I'm a shitty person"
"You and I both know that isn't true"
"Then why else is she pissed?"
"To tell you the truth, this has nothing to do with Cedric or George. She's just upset that you didn't trust us enough to tell us"
"I do trust you! No one knew. It was better that way"
"Okay E" She replies. I sigh and get changed, putting on the boots Seiko and Marissa got me for Christmas. I grab my broom and we head out. I was running late so we don't have time to stop by the great hall for breakfast. I groan and head out the entrance hall to the pitch. It's beautiful out, perfect weather for quidditch. This match will determine who makes it in the cup.
"Morning Em" I hear a voice call out to me. Cedric. I smile and wave.
"Hey Ced"
"You okay?"
"I've been better" I tell him as Irma makes her way over to us, the rest of the team close behind.
"Alright team! You know what to do. Show them what Hufflepuff can do. Score a lot and Diggory, catch the damn snitch. And before Potter does. That kid is wicked good" She tells us. I can't really decide if she tries to be encouraging or honest. Perhaps a bit of both. And then, Madam Hooch is blowing the whistle. The game has begun.

"And that's 10 more points to Hufflepuff! Gryffindor chaser Johnson is in possession of the quaffle. She passes to Spinnet. Spinnet narrowly dodges a beater sent by that bitch from Hufflepuff. Sorry professor! I meant, she dodges a bludger from Hufflepuff beater Malfoy. Spinnet has dropped the quaffle and chaser Macavoy is now in possession. She passes to Rosewood. Oh shit! A bludger sent by one of the Weasley twins is heading her way!" Lee cries, pointing at me. Sure enough, a bludger is heading towards me, sent by none other than George Weasley. I twist and turn trying to avoid it but it's almost as if it's been tampered with. Before I know it, I'm

And then, out of nowhere, a hand scoops me up and places me on a broom. It's not my broom. It feels different and I try to figure out who saved me. My face was mere centimeters away from the ground before I was saved.
"Falling for me hard aren't you m'lady?" The person says. Not Cedric. Not George. But Wood. Wood, who quidditch means everything to, saved me, the opposer. And then so many things make sense.
"Not a chance Woody" I whisper. He grins as he flies me back over to my broom, which is hovering oddly in midair. He places me back down on it carefully before whispering "you be careful this time Rosy" in my ear and darting off. Just like that, the game is back on and everyone is acting normal again. And just like that, I've figured some things out.

We lost the game. Gryffindor won, of course. As much as I adore Harry, that little shit needs to stop catching the snitch. It's infuriating. The bludger only hit my broom, not me which is good because that prevented me from dying. That's literally what Madam Pomfrey said. The moment the match was over, Irma forced me to come to the hospital wing to get inspected. Something about "our star chaser" and "that Weasley twat". So now I'm here, sitting in my own thoughts with no one else in sight.
"Merlin's beard E! I thought you were dead!" I hear Seiko yell as she rushes into the hospital wing, Marissa right behind her.
"Oi! Be quiet!" Madam Pomfrey calls from across the room. I laugh as Seiko collapse onto my bed dramatically.
"We're so glad you're okay" Marissa says, patting my shoulder. She's holding a little blue flower in one hand and she hands it to me.
"Thanks Mar"
"Yes we are! Man, I'm going to KILL George! I mean, I know I was mad but that's just too far. I'm sorry for being so mad by the way. You really didn't deserve to be yelled at. It's your life and you can do whatever you want. When that bludger hit you all I could think was 'oh god she's going to die and the last I spoke to her I was yelling' so I really am sorry about that. But anyways, I'm glad your doing better." Seiko says, kind of rambling on. I laugh and shake my head.
"It's all good. I was a bitch. I still am. I promise I'm trying to figure things out. I just need some time" I tell them. Seiko gives a goofy grin and two thumbs ups.
"You can have all the time you need, lovely" Marissa says sweetly. I smile at her and they both climb onto my bed beside me. We just lay there in silence for a while. All I can say is, it's nice to have my two best friends back.
