Chapter Twenty- four

I was so excited about being together with Joey. I couldn't wait for him to show me his surprise. Mara and I were together at my house to get dressed. Jim and Joey were comng to get us from our house and Keyana, Will, Adrian and Drew were all meeting us there.

"How do I look?' we both asked at the same time to cause both of us to laugh.

Mara had on a pink tutu like dress and the top had siver beads around the top. Her hair was curly and pinned back. She had light make-up on and silver pumps to go along with her dress. I had on a black tutu sort of dress and a beautiful bow in the middle of it. I had on a little bit of mascara and lip gloss. My shoes were big,black,glittery pumps.

"Mara really? You look flawless!" I said

"No Amanda, you look fabulous!!"

"Thanks you too" I said as I grabbed my purse

"Okay lets head downstairs before they come"

"Im coming!" I said and rushed downstairs

Suddenly the doorbell rung, which caused me and Mara to squeal in excitment.But before we could get to the door Allen came out of nowhere.

"The girls can't answer the door, DUH" he said before he answered the door

When he opened the door he revealed a VERY beautiful Joey and a very handsom looking Jim. When Mara seen him she grabbed my arm so tight she could've broke it.

I think we took at least a million pictures before Allen and Mom finally let us go. He told me if he had to take a whole bunch of pictures when he was going to the Prom, so did I. My mother came and took at least ten more pictures wen we got outside.

When we got to the school, it was so BEAUTIFUL! This year the theme was 'Its our night' and they had alot of romantic scenes set up everywhere and there were kisses and flowers set up everybody. It wasn't like a Valentines day colors , it was alot of cream and blues.

"Do you want to dance?"Joey asked

"Sure" I said taking his outstreched hand

After we finished Joey left to go get some drinks for eveyone. Mara. Adrian, Keyana and I all stayed and danced for a little bit .The night had been so wonderful! I was beginnig to wonder what Joey's surprise was. When we seen each other earlier, he told me that I was beyond word and flawless. That itself made my heartrate rise quickly. Then the dance , I almost died when he held my hand. My dress was my little surprise and I think I over-did the whole thing with the surprises though.

"Are you ready to go?" Joey whispered , making me shiver. Joey was never a stay-at-the-party-til-it-ends- kinda person.

"No, they havent even announced this years king and queen!" I said

"Whatever happened to 'Im never going to the Prom' girl?" He asked pinching my cheeks

" Well, She is still here just kind of hidden" I said as I swatted his hands away

"You know you never showed me your surpirse right?"

"I told you that my dress was the surprise"

"Oh, my bad"

"No its not your fault. I kinda talked about it alot. It was only suppose to be apart of what happend the other day at the resturant. How is that going?"

" He has been calling non-stop! Its so freaking annoying at times!" he said and I just started laughing,eventually he joined in.

"Attention Students!" our schools vice principle announced "We would like to announce this years Prom King and Queen! Would anyone like to hear?"
