We went to the doctor's office today and they said that it was time to say good-bye to my cast! It felt weird since I wasn’t walking for a long time because of the cast but either way I didn't have to wear that to the prom or graduation.

I was still thinking about my un-answered question of Mara’s. I really don't want to answer it. Really? Of all people my best friend? Isn’t that insane? I’m an invisible nobody and I wear the baggiest clothes just so I don't get hurt that certian day! I'd never have a shot with him! I mean he's a jock for crying out loud! I didn’t even believe what Mara had said.That was just total nonsense! Invisible girl+Jock bestfriend = love -NO WAY! Why did I have to be so lame?

I had decided that today would be a very chilled Tuesday.

That all flip floped as soon as I turned my phone back on.My phone read 17 missed calls and 8 new text messages.Most of them were from Mara and Joey.Sometime you just need a break from those two.

The one call that caught my eyes was : Dad

Dad? My Dad? How did I even have his number? The one who was barely there for me and completely disappeared five years ago? Why was that man calling me?

I slowly dialed the number again.

It rung four times and on the last one he picked up

"Umm...hello?....Why?....Okay ,when?....Well okay Thursday......Bye...Audrey" I said as I shut the phone off.

*Joey's POV*

Mandie and I haven't been out in a while but I wanted to give her a few days to herself. So Friday I will take her out. I called just make sure that was okay.

"Hey ,how's a goin?" I asked.

"Good,guess what?"

"What?"

"My Dad just called and he said he wanted to talk to me at the coffee shop."

"What?!Why?" I said as my body got stiff.

"He said he needed to tell me something extremely important"

I remember when Mandie would came and spend the night with me when we were young and she had nightmares about how she didn’t want me to leave her.The thought of that man just made me want to hurl.I really didn’t like the way he treated her and her family.

"Joey?...Are you still there?"

8...9...10

"Yeah...uh,what...do you wanna just have a day when we both just hang out?"

"Oh yeah! So what do you think he wants?"

"I really couldn't tell you Mandie.....sorry Mandie I have to go to work now.I’m so sorry."

"Aww man alright well bye Joey"

"Bye Mandie love you"

Oh my God! He sounded so sexy! His voice when he said he loved me .I wish it was as much love I wanted to be.

THE NEXT DAY....

Joey came over to my house eailier. He was just hanging when I realized I had to go and meet my- .... Audrey at the coffee shop. My Da-I mean Audrey was never a father figure in my life and wasn't loyal enough to be called 'Dad'.
