Chapter Twenty-three
"Come on Mandie! Dad said that he had a flight to catch" Joey called from downstairs.
Today Joey was going back home,I can't exactly say that I was happy or sad, I felt neutral about the whole thing. I was going to help him unpack ,then Allen and I were going out to eat and watch a movie.
"Its about time!" Joey nagged as I ran down stairs.
"Shut -up and come on" I said in the same tone .
"Dont push it Mandie" he said with a serious face.
Seriously? Like I cared about the face he just made.

"Okay bye" I called to Joey.
"Wait , how are you getting home?" he asked.
"Joey,I have no idea " I said laughing and closing the door
"Okay Im coming" He said coming down the stairs with his keys in his hand.
"Hey can we listen to a CD?" I asked politely.
"Uh, let me think NO!" He said rudely.
"Why?"
"Because those songs annoy the crap out of me"
"But you know all of the songs"
"Thats how I know they are annoying"
"Fine ,Joey?"
"What?"
"Can you give me a hint about what the surprise is for Friday?"
"I-I well ...fine, You might get mad if you dont like it" He said.
"Ooooo can I guess?"
"Sure but its more and likely to not guess it at all"
"You're moving?"
"No"
"We're having Ice cream?"
"Are you serious right now?"
"Okay um-"
"We are at your house ya know?" Joey said
"Fine but I will know what that surprise is before tomorrow" I said as I got out the car
"Whatever" He said blandly.
I was so confused as to what he said had ment . What is that suppose to mean? Okay Im starting to regret asking a hint about the surprise.What if he liked me back? No, that won't work. We are best friends.But he is so nice and sweet and not to mention he is very SEXY!
"Hey, How did it go?"Allen asked coming into my room, inturrupting my thoughts.
"Fine, I guess?"
"Are you ready now ?"
"Yeah ,lets go"

Allen took me to the resturant . The whole ride over there , it was quiet . He also looked really nervous about something.When we sat down Allen looked around the resturant quickly and let out a heavy sigh.
