10 years later.....

　

"Joey! Could you get Ashlan's bottle?" I called over the whiny baby.

"Sure just a sec!" He called back.

Joey had a job with his father . After we finished college Joey's dad stpped his bussines to help Joey start his Archetect business. Now, at JAC & coop.(Jacobs Archietect Company) Joey is co- owning it and his Dad at the other end.

Just a few months ago I pregnant and Joey insisted that I stop my photography job to take care of Ash. Now that she is born I take her everywhere and she enjoys it and Joey didn't mind.

"Here you go" Joey leaned in and kissed me and kissed Ash on the forehead "Bye, see you guys later" He said and left but before I could blink he was back.

"What time did you need me back to pack?" he asked because we were going to a class reunion.

"Oh I hope you don't mind, I was going to pack your bags because I know you have a lot of work and you could just meet us there" I said.

"See thats why I married you" He said and kissed my cheek " But I promise I will get there on time. While Im off I'll take care of Ash okay?"

"And that's why I married you" I said thankfully.

"Alright I'm off ...again"

"Okay don't be late!" I called

"Okay bye"

Ash was alseep so I was going to put her back in her crib and I was going back to sleep,but then the phone rang.

"Hello?...Okay Mr. Ketterman....okay four sets of flowers....okay....alright.....bye-bye now"

Old people are so aggravating! How am I suppose to get him four sets of flowers by tomorow? Then an idea came to mind, I could pack now and just bring my camara with me. I grabbed the suitcases and started packing and Ash's diper bag and got in the car.

When I got to the gardens I had already had the flowers in my mind I would photograph so I quickly grabbed Ash's carry along and started snapping pictures. When

I was finished I headed to Wal-mart for Ash's new stroler.I was about to pull into the parking space and someone took it! You would think that adults would be more civil but they aren't!

I went to the baby section in the store and I seen the man that stole my parking spot so I kinda followed him around for a little while. But then I felt like a stalker and went back to what I was doing . So I finally picked out a stroller for Ash and then I turned the corner and I seen him again. He looked so familar but I didn't know who he was. but then it hit me! The man who took my parking spot was Adam! So many questions flooded my mind.

What was Adam doing in New York? Was he married to that girl ? Was this his son?What th

"A-Amanda?" he said.

"Adam? Yes hello there!" I said in shock.

"How have you been?" He asked giving me an awkward hug.

"In love with Joey and his baby.You on the other hand just had two children with the girl you cheated on me with back in high school huh?" I said with a grin.

"Yeah I guess so" he said scratching his neck.

"Well nice seeing you" I said as I was about to walk away.

"Wait, Amanda"

"What?"

"Sorry"

"For what? Breaking my heartand having a child and putting Joey in jail?"

"Yeah ,sorry"

"Good well, I have to go"

This time I left to go to he didn't stop me. I wasn't angry at him at all. I was just a little upset that he said sorry about the past and not about the freaking parking space. Yeah, sounds dumb but I really didn't care about the past. I had only used him for a distraction,that I kinda felt bad about but that quickly went away. I really didn't care about him. He was history. I shook all the thoughts away and finished putting in my film for Mr.Kettermans photos and went to the cashier.

I was now headed to my house to take a quick shower and go.I pulled into my car garage and I carefully took Ash to her crib.But then my phone rang. Ashlan stirred but she didn't wake up, thank goodness!

"Hello" I whispered.

"Hey babe why are you whispering?" Joey said at the other end of the phone.

"Ash is sleeping. So how has it been going?" I asked in my regular voice because I was now in the bathroom.

"Dad said that it would be okay if I left"

"Thats good, Im going to take a shower and then Im making hamberger helper"

"Yes! Okay I will be there in ten"

"Okay,Oh I have to tell you what happend at Wal-mart"

"What happend?"

"I'll tell you later its a long story"

"Did someone hurt you or Ash?"

"No geez, calm down"

"Alright bye,love you"

"He did that? Seriously?" Joey asked in shock.

"Yeah and he is having a baby and he already had a ten year old" I said stirring the noodles.

"Wow that dude is shallow." He said moving closer to me.

"I know right"

"You know that Ash is sleeping right " Joey said hugging me from behind.

"Go away! I'm cooking!"

"Fine, its your lost" He said backing away.

"Oh really?" I said setting my woden spoon down.

"Yeah" he said as I sat on his lap and brushed my lips against his.

"Now its your lost" I said I got up from his lap.

"See thats not fair at all!" He said ,holding up his hands in protest.

"I know but too bad, here go ahead and eat so we can go" I told him.

We ended up having a wonderful time. It was so cool seeing people ten years later! Most of them looked the same.Mara and Jim came and we talked and joked for hours.They had twins at home and her Mom was taking care of them. I was in my old room and I found a old box of memories with nothing but pictures of our family and Joey and Daddy.

"What's this?"

"A old box of pictures of us when we were little"

"Aww look at us.We used to look good!" Joey said.

"What is that suppose to mean? We look horrible now?" I said

"No , you know you are beautiful!"

"Thank you. Joey how did we last eighteen years without uttering the words I love you to each other?"

"I have no idea. We were both scared of what the other one was going to say so we just didn't say anything at all. But even if you didn't like me like I did you, I would still be your best friend." He said and I kissed him.

"Yeah forever and ever Best friends" I said and kissed him again.

"I love you " We both said at the same time
