Emily's pov
I love hanging out with Maddie, Grace, Dash, and Avi! But I haven't seen Laura around lately. I wonder what happened, I notice her sitting with Tris, Katniss, Gem, and Reyna. Why dissent she come sit over here? The bell rings and my friends rush out the door in a clump. "See ya later Em!" Maddie called as she runs out the door. I notice Laura's friends leave and say goodbye to her. This would be a good time to talk. I jog over to the other side of the room where Laura is. "Hey Laura!" I call out. She gives me a look and then comes over. "Hey, can we talk?" I ask her. "Sure." She says with an annoyed tone. "Where have you been lately? Why haven't you hung out with us?" I ask her. "Look, Em your popular. I'm not! Those girls you hang out with, they don't like me! They are scared of me! Cause I'm a hybrid! They don't want any thing to do with me cuz I'm a stinkin hybrid!" She yells at me. She had tears in her eyes and her face was red and her eyes were tense. "They like you! They-" I say before she cuts me off and yells,"Em, you don't understand! You love them and all and int notice the dirty glares they give me! Or the way they avoid me in the hall! And how they don't look me in the eye! It how they always talk to me with tone! You don't Know!!!!" "C'mon! They love you like a sister!" I say, to be honest I had no idea what she was talking about but still had the urge to protect my other friends. "How do you know? Have they told you?" She questions. "Uhhh...no." I say dumbfounded. "Then, what makes you think they like me?!" Laura spits at me. "Ummm... I don't know." I whisper. "But I'm sure they do like you!" I add quickly. She smears and her eyes glow purple, her cloths flash black and her figure grows dark and has wings. "I'm-I'm sorry. I will stay away from you!" Laura croaks before rushing off. "wait, Laura!!!" I call. But she doesn't stop and give me a second look. She just runs off.

Laura's pov
I can't stand how oblivious Emily is being! Doesn't she realize her friends dislike me! I can't stand it!! I rush off at top speed with tears in my eyes not looking back. I hear Emily screaming my name, but I don't wanna listen to her lecturing me on how much her friends love me! Cuz it's plain to see that they don't! They just DONT!" I run to my old hiding spot in the dark where I curl up in a ball and cry my eyes out. Why doesn't she understand!! And that's when I realize that maybe I should leave this place. No one ever really liked me except for Anthony and Emily. Some people were just really nice to me and some kept their distance, and some hated me. I don't wanna stay here! I'll run away! Maybe I'll stay in touch with Anthony, but no one else! My parents don't even care about me! And I lost my bestfriend! What's there here for me anyway! Just Anthony, and he'd help me! I think it's time I leave and start a new life!

Emily's pov
I rush after my friends. "Maddie?! Grace?! Dash?! Avi?!" I scream until I find them on the outside field. "Hey guys, how do you honestly feel about Laura?" I ask. "We are afraid of her." They say in unison. That's when I relize that I've been so oblivious! No wonder the poor girls, running from me. Wait, running.... No. She's gonna run away! With the help of Anthony she will be gone in moments. "Guys! You gotta help me!!!!!! Laura is gonna run away! I have to stop her! Please help me!" I beg them. Maddie steps forward,"I'll help you Emily. I am a real friend to you!" Maddie states. Grace steps forward too. "Even though she's different she's not bad!" Face devalues. Dash squirms around," I don't know..." She starts. "Are you just my friend because I was prom queen? If you were my real friend you'd help me save one of my bestest friends!" I scream. Dash sighs, and says,"I guess your right. I'll help." Avi steps back. "No." She says. "But..." I say trailing off. "Laura is a terrifying creature who we are better off without!" She screams. "We don't need your help!" Maddie hisses and we all run off after Laura. I run to the spot that Laura always runs too. Her backpack isn't there. SHES not there. I'm running faster now, to the door where I catch a glimpse of Anthony chasing after Laura. Me and the girls are running as fast as we can, panting heavily. "LAURA!!!!" I screech and she turns around to look at me. "Please. Don't leave." I whisper. "I'm sorry for always being so mean to you." Dash exclaimed. "I know I usually ignored you but I think we all need you!" Maddie adds. "Please stay!" Grace adds pleadingly. Laura puts her bags down and comes over and hugs me. "I'm sooo sorry." I sniffle. "It's ok." Laura replies with a small smile. She kisses Anthony on the lips and hugs all of us. "I think we are all friends now!" I declare. And we all agree.
