Emily's pov
Stupid alarm clock. Why does it have to ring so early! Those are my only thoughts as I drag myself out of bed and down the stairs. "Hey Mitch, Hey Tiff." I call as I trudge down the stairs. "Hey Em." Tiff says with a smile. Mitch nods and smiles. They seem so calm today...score! A quiet morning!!! Yayy!! I Poor myself some milk and eat a piece of toast. My morning was going well, until all of a sudden Mitch and Tiffany poured a bowl water on my head. "AHHHHHH" I screeched panicking. They burst out into laughter and fell on the floor. Oh well. So much for a quiet morning. I try and ignore them, but I in seconds I'm giggling away. We finish breakfast, and than its school time. I walk into the large building, looking around for friends. I notice a pumped Maddie, talking to Dash and Lucas. She seems happy, for a girl who just got cheated on. I smiled, she was getting used to it. But what was really bugging me, is that Laura is no where to be found. I need my bestie. I look around, searching the crowd of students. She's no where to be found...that's not good. I pull out my phone and text her.
Hey? Laura, ya at school yet?
I waited a couple minutes, but no answer. I was getting sort of anxious by this part. Where could she be? I skim the entire Lobby. Not here. I head to the bathroom, maybe she's in there. I walk in and I hear sobbing. "Laura?" I call out. I hear muffled crus and sniffles. "Laura. I know it's you." I repeat. She bursts into tears and walks out of the stall. She hugs me and keeps crying. "Come here." I say embracing her. She just cried, and I just stood there. Let it happen. She finally let go and tried to hold back tears. "What's wrong?" I ask with care. "M-My parents a-are not caring about me. They always leave me alone." She wailed. She swung her arms around me and practically soaked my shoulder. But It diddn't matter. When your bestfriend is upset, all else seems futile. "Laura. Look at me." I say trying to sound stern but keep my caring tone. She looks up at me her eyes wet with tears. "If you ever need a place to stay, I'm always here. Your my bestie and we stick together. Best friends?" I tell her genuinely. "B-Best friend" she agrees trying to stop the tears. A smile smile forms on my lips, and Laura cracks a smile. We walk out together, and Laura is looking a bit better. "Heard you and Mads went to a Taylor swift concert?" I say with a smirk. "Ugh...I mean she's not a bad singer. But she's not fallout boy!" Laura complains with a laugh. Laura is healing, I hope that it will stay that way.
