Forgotten City, Luzon

8:37 AM

As Garnette walked in the door of the grocery store she played Spice Girls' Wannabe in her headphones.

"Good Morning, Mr. Levar!!" Garnette greeted him happily.

Mr. Levar is the owner of the mini grocery store. He's a friend of Garnette's adopted father.

"Good Morning, Garnette!! Is your dad home now?" Mr. Levar replied.

"No, not yet. He's probably enjoying himself living his life without me but I'm pretty sure he must be missing you and my mother." Garnette answered.

"He's a handful, you know?" Mr. Levar replied giggling.

"Hmmm... he's really." Garnette answered with a pouty mouth.

Garnette headed to the dairy section to pick up some milk.

She's wearing a red leather jacket covering her black sleeveless top and a skinny jeans bottom with a pair of black wrinkled boots.

Garnette was making crazy dancing while she was walking, and it was crazy. Good thing there was like only few people there so yeah! Her dignity is safe!

When Garnette got to the dairy section, an old woman looked confused on her while she was feeling the song through her headphones. She didn't realize the volume was too defeaning and she kinda dance while playing it so, maybe that's why she looked on her.

She took off the headphones out of her ears and started talking to the old woman.

"I'm sorry, I just love this love song." She said to the old woman next to her grabbing milk on the refrigerator thingy in the store.

"I see, now could you please the pass me the milk and turn down your music because I can hear it even though it's in your round giant oreo wire thing" The old woman suggested with annoyance.

"Oh, haha of course here you go and by the way these are headphones." Garnette answered with enthusiasm and passed the milk to the old woman.

"Woah, you have 8 cartons of milk there. Are you having your grandkids sleepover to your house?" Garnette asked in confusion with a little bit of sarcasm. Of course, a hint of concern.

"Oh, hehe no. I wish that will be the case. My daughter-in-law is lactose intolerant." The old woman replied with a smile while nodding her head.

But she has regular milk on her hand so, this might be a little off.

"Uhmm... but that's regular milk, you should switch it to soymilk or almond milk because you know your daughter-in-law is lactose intolerant." Garnette told her.

"Epepepep! I know. I'm gonna put that in my mac n' cheese..." The old woman stopped talking for 5 seconds and she added...

"That little rascal deserves a better mother-in-law." The old woman continued and laughed a little after drinking her wine from a bottle.

Garnette turned around and left with her milk. She left the old woman laughing because she's kinda happy there by herself.

Next, Garnette headed to the poultry section and grabbed some chicken. After she grabbed all the food that she needed in the grocery, she went to the cashier and left the grocery store.

"Goodbye, Mr. Levar!!" Garnette waved to Mr. Levar

"Bye, Garnette and take care." Mr. Levar replied.
