The same day. . .(Aaradhya's perspective)

Name: Neil D'Souza.

Age: 14 years 10 months 1 day

Symptoms:

Difficulty breathing

Chest pain when working out

Fatigue

Aaradhya paced within her cabin as she read the reports repeatedly.

Pneumonia?

No, no, Nidhi would have diagnosed it otherwise. . .

Asthma?

Ruled out for the very same reason as pneumonia.

Anaemia?

Hmm, Blood tests didn't show anaemia though. . .

She quickly jotted it down in the report:

Ruled out diagnoses:

Anaemia

Asthma

Pneumonia

Pulmonary Hypertension

I'll ask Neil a few mo–

A steady knock on the door followed by Neil's head popping in with a soft, amiable smile.

"Neil! Come in! I've been looking forward to meeting you again. Hello Mrs D'Souza, Lovely to see you again!" Aaradhya greeted the newcomers and ushered them to take a seat before asking Neil about his health.

"Um, I guess I've been doing okay, the breathing issues and fatigue are still there. But I reduced the rigour of my workouts to reduce the chest pain a little?"

Aaradhya smiled at the young lad and looked at the both of them as she explained cohesively,

"Neil, from the tests we've done so far, I haven't been able to come up with a specific diagnosis although I've been able to rule out a few. If you'd be willing, could we conduct an ECG today? I believe the sooner we get to the root of this issue, the better?" She looked at both of them, seeking for approval.

"Dr Dixit, I have to collect my younger one soon, and my husband is out of town, so is it possible for him to stay here and conduct the required tests? I'll be back in a few if that's okay?" The woman prayed that the doctor would agree as her heart stood in despair; at one end was her son whose condition was yet to be determined and on the other end, her five-year-old daughter who needed to be picked from school.
