I felt cold hard stone under me. My surroundings had changed I could feel it through my bones. The energy was off this wasn't the Xiao household at all.
I opened my eyes. I was locked in an abandoned place kinda like a warehouse. A sound came a little further away. I turned around to see Xiao Qi knocked out against a wall.
"You're awake?"
I looked behind me. It was Li Jainyu. It appeared that we were tied together.
"What is this?" I asked.
"An abandoned place used by the mafia" he replied.
The mafia? Abandoned place? I'm starting to see a pattern here.
"Why are we here? " I asked Jainyu.
"I don't know" he replied.
"It's your fault anyways" he stated.
"How is it my fault I just came here" I said.
"Well if you weren't being so careless we wouldn't be in this situation" he replied
"Oh i'm careless what about you mister hero of the country. Are your ego too big to admit you are here too huh?"
"I am not a hero I just help people."
"Right. Well mister I just help people do you know how we can get out of here?"
"If I did I would have done it already."
"Oh my fucking god are you completely useless. What about that sword on your side can't you use that."
"I don't think you have noticed but we are tied back to back meaning my hands are behind me."
He began to be angry but so was I.
"What about your dainty timemachine hmm?" he asked.
"It's on my arm and guess where my arm is? The same place yours are stupid."
"Don't call me that."
"Oh what? stupid? Just because we are from different times doesn't mean I'll pay respect to someone I don't like."
"Well I am not particularly fond of you either" he responded .
"Could you stop the weird oldish language?"
"Did you forget what era we are in. Your slang has not been invented yet."
"Well your language would be long gone unless it was some historical drama."
Suddenly from the corner came a voice.
"Could you two stop screaming at eachother."
"Xiao Qi you are awake!" I stated.
"Are you okay?" I asked
"Yes. Are you? Yongnian?" She seemed more concerned about my safety than her own.
"It doesn't matter" I said.
"To me it does" she stated.
"Fine. I am okay" I replied.
I was lying though. My head hurted alot I was proberaly hit with a stone or something. I could also feel my stomach wound had ripped opened up but she shouldn't know that.
Li Jainyu was looking at me as much as he could, given he was sitting behind me. I sensed he knew my words weren't true so I whispered to him.
"Please don't tell her. She is important to me."
"Hn" he said in response.
Suddenly the door was opened and a group of people came in.
"Well well well look what the cat dragged in" said the one in the middle of them. He was proberaly their leader.
