The flowers in the courtyard was blooming this time of year. The disciples welcomed us as we walked towards the young master's parents garden. The garden was filled with peon flowers. They came in a million colors and made the garden seem alive. We had come to tea with the Li family as per usual.
Li's father came over and hugged the two of us.
"Welcome my boys!"
We bowed respectfully to misses Li and went to sit down at the table.
"Do you two have any news of the demon?" misses Li asked.
"Let us not get too serious here honey" master Li told her.
"It is alright master Li, if misses Li is concerned for the forest I shall answer her respectfully" I responded.
And I added "there have been no sightings of any other demon in the forest. It seems to have returned to it's peaceful state once again."
"Well that was good news" master Li said with a smile plastered on his face.
"Please be careful dear" misses Li urged.
"Of course misses Li, I would not let anything happened to Li Zian or anyone else" I replied to her concern.
"Remember yourself in that statement" she said.
Misses Li had always been very gentle and caring of others. She wished not to fight but rather negotiate. Master Li on the other hand was stubborn and would not back down even if it meant war. It was interesting how the universe brought these two together.
They did share some thoughts, which were not pleasent for Li Zian. Ridiculous rules as "do not show weakness" "do not cry" "do not engage in friendship with the evil." The evil to them could be anything in the moment they decided it was evil. Li Zian suffered greatly under this rule growing up, but he wished for me not to pity him even though I still would do so in secret.
As we were enjoying the tea we could hear the singing voice of the birds in the area. We could see over the training area since the garden was placed on a hill above all the others.
I looked down to the training session going on. They were all very skillful, the young men of this century were the strongest ever. I spotted something in the trees as a black shadow came raining down upon the disciples. It was assassins from the Heng household.
The black shadow suddenly appeared in front of our eyes ready to fight. They took misses Li.
"Misses Li!" I shouted just as Li Zian screamed "Mom!"
I woke up in the forbidden forest again. I guess figuring out who the young master was unlocked the ability to hear his name in my dreams. But why does so many bad things happened to them? And why is the Heng household everywhere I go? Do I have unfinished business with them? I wouldn't be able tell anymore my world have been turned up side down more than once these past months.
I sat up from my sleeping pad and looked around. It seemed Li Zian went out to get something.
I heard footsteps coming my way, I was on my nerves so I quickly stood up and pointed the sword to that persons neck.
"Calm down it is me" Li Zian said tired.
"Oh I am sorry everything is just-"
"Crazy? Yeah it is not in any way normal" Li Zian took the words out my mouth.
"Well I don't think my normal compares to your normal. So how much shit are we in?" I asked.
"Not the worst but defintely not the best either" Li Zian responded.
