A/N: This is the FORTHBEAM ending, story continues from chapter 29.

~Lam~

When I got off the phone with P'Mew, my gut feeling told me something was definitely wrong. I mean why else would Forth leave to go home, he hates being nagged by his father. Why couldn't he simply text me that he was sick? I was no stranger to the Jaturapoom's country side home. In fact, I had spent a few holidays there. So without much thought, I set out on the road. I need to check on Forth and above all come clean about what had transpired between Beam and I. I mean I did nothing intentionally, but felt I have not been honest with my best friend.

" Swaddee grandma, I hope you have been well" I said walking in on the compound to find, Forth's grandma in her garden. She is this petite woman, with silver hair and dressed to impress. Even when doing gardening work, she reeks of opulence. " Ahhh... what a great surprise! Lammie come here!! Come give me a hug" she said beaconing me to her side.

" What a treat, your brother shows up out the blue and now you. You've become a handsome young man now. C'mon, lets get inside, it is too warm out here" she said leading the way inside. Her husband passed away a few years ago, so she lives here with her house helps and security. Once we walked inside, I was met with a glare from Forth. " Your brother is here Forth... I'll fix you guys lunch"-grandma. " You don't have to, the chef already made me lunch"-Forth. His grandma waved him off, ignoring his comment and heading to the kitchen anyway.

" What are you doing here?"-Forth asked. He didn't seem surprised to see me. Perhaps P'Mew had told him that I was looking for him. " Well glad to see you are in good health and not dying" I said sarcastically. To which he rolled his eyes and went back to his video game. At this point, I knew he knew about Beam and I. How much did he know? That I was about to find out soon enough. So I cleared my throat and asked, "... How long have you known?".

Instead of answering me, he replied with a question instead. " Did you have any intentions of telling me you hooked up with N'Beam?"-Forth. Huh?😕 hooked up? " First of all, I haven't done anything with N'Beam. And secondly, WHAT????" I said feeling angered by his comment. " If anyone should be angry right now, don't you think it should be me?"-Forth. So I took a deep breathe, "... Listen, I don't know what you think has transpired between N'Beam and I. He- he mistook me for you... and things got complicated" the latter made him pause his game.

~Forth~

P'Mew had text me to call Lam since he had reached out to him asking of my where about. Frankly, I didn't want to face him yet. I knew the reason why N'Beam turned me down, was because he had something going on with Lam. I have never fell short, but Lam has a way of making me feel like that. Like when we were younger, we both received a ball from my mother. Although it was the same ball, it was different colors and I really wanted what Lam had.

In my childish way, I tried to bully him to submission. But Lam did not budge, we ended up having our first ever fight. After that day, Lam never came over to play. He practically cut ties with me for weeks, I felt his absence and knew he wouldn't come around. So, I had my mom buy the same color ball and gifted it to Lam. He took the ball, but never played with it.

That's the type of person Lam is, he bottles up his emotions then explode. He is the only person I've lost to, and sense that with N'Beam.I know he is the person Beam has taken a liking in, and frankly I am aware of his infatuation with Beam as well. I guess what is bothering me is the fact that he couldn't be honest with me. Was he just going to pretend not to know Beam? He is my best friend, and I'll do anything for him. Now here he stood, telling me N'Beam mistook me for Him?!!! What is he talking about? How is that even possible?

" ... Yes, he texted me thinking it was you. Our conversation carried on because he kept referring to me as Lamb, I assumed he was just being funny"- Lam. I looked at him in silence, the timeline matched up. That was when we got into a fight with school of Economics and I ended up in the hospital. " So how come you never told me? I mean once you realized he got a wrong number and mistook you for me." I asked looking him in the eye.

" You want me to state the obvious here??" He said plopping on to my bed. " That Beam.... he is charming you know.... for once, my thoughts were occupied by another other than P'Park hahaha. Call me silly, but I was flattered by how blunt and forward he is with his feelings" -Lam said, now staring at the ceiling. " With all that said, I'll be lying if I say I am over stupid Park. Him showing up this weekend, remembering our anniversary..." he said lost in his thoughts.

I sat down on the sofa, fidgeting with a pen in hand. Then cleared my throat and asked, " are you sure you are over N'Beam?" Lam sat up on the bed, instead of answering my question, he replied with a question instead "... when did you find out?"-Lam. I stopped fidgeting with the pen, and threw it in his direction. He caught it, and asked again " ...When?"-Lam. " I followed N'Beam home, and saw you waiting for him in front of his building." I said.

"Ahhhh, so you've known for that long. Hmmm,  well so what is your status with N'Beam now?"-Lam. " Well, he obviously don't want to be with me. You can't forced someone to like you. So I decided to move on...what about you, are you truly over him?" I asked fearing the response, even though I had decided to forgo any feelings towards N'Beam if he ends up with Lam.  Lam shook his head, and said " I hate to admit, but I still love Park. He came back for me Forth! I want to hate him, but I can't deny my heart. And being around N'Beam made me realize that"-Lam

" Boys!!!! Come have lunch..." Grandma yelled for us to come eat. "... and if you have any ounce of feelings towards N'Beam. I'll tell you to fight for him, remind him why he went through all that hustle to get your number"-Lam. I sat there in silence, then smirked " We better go eat before grandma, come up here. She is over feeding me"- I said. He smiled, because he knew I had heed to his words. I'll give N'Beam time, but I've not completely thrown in the towel yet.
