Riku was currently elsewhere. He told me he was going out for a walk about 4 hours ago. I frowned. Maybe I shouldn’t have said anything and followed the unwritten rule of fanfiction: Never tell one of the characters about where you’re from. Now, right about now, he was in a mental hospital, telling them to come pick me up and place me in the special room. I let out a sigh, seeing the T.V in front of me, and the remote in my hand, as I channel searched. He said I could watch T.V until he came back, but I had a feeling that that wasn’t going to be back for a long while. I heard the door open and footsteps. It was either Riku, or some burglar. I almost hoped it was the burglar. I looked and saw someone open the door. There, I saw a woman with silver hair much like Riku’s, only to her mid back. Her eyes were more blue than anything, and they were a dark blue. She smiled warmly at me.

“Oh good, you’re awake. I was worried.” She said, walking over toward me. I raised a brow. She sat down.

“Are you alright? Is your arm hurting?” She asked. I continued to stare.

“Um…” She frowned.

“Oh, right, of course. You see, my son, Riku, and his friend Sora were driving and they accidentally hit you. This is Riku’s home, I’m sure you’ll meet him soon. Of course, I’m going to have to talk with him for leaving you alone.” She said, and I smiled.

“No, I’ve been awake for a while…and I know who Riku is. He left, saying he’d be back in a while.” She nodded.

“When was this?” She asked. I frowned.

“Um…” I started, and she smiled.

“It’s alright, I understand.” Looking closely now, I could see that she seemed old enough to be his mother. I guess here, they did have mothers and fathers and such. Normally in the fanfictions, their origins were either never explained, they were nonexistent, they were other Kingdom Hearts/Final Fantasy characters, they had Kingdom Hearts/Final Fantasy characters as their older sibling taking care of them, or they were just gone. She smiled.

“I’m Alana, and you can stay here until you get back on your feet, okay?” She told me. I nodded.

“R-right…Thank you, ma’am.” I said, as she smiled. We heard the door open, and she sighed.

“That must be him. You get some rest, I need to talk with him.” She said, getting up and going downstairs. I smiled a little myself. She seemed really nice. After a minute or two, Riku came upstairs and sighed.

“I see you met my mom. Is she part of the video game madness, too?” He asked, taking a bit of a sour tone. I frowned immediately. I understood he was probably confused and angry at being wrong. But, that was no reason to take it out on me. I glared.

“No, and I’d appreciate it if you weren’t so angry at me. So what if you’re wrong?” I said, Riku groaning.

“Look. You’re probably a really nice girl, and if you weren’t from…another world, you’d probably be normal and I might like you a bit more and meet you under different circumstances. But this is the situation I’m placed with. You’re from a different world, where you’re saying we’re video game characters, your arm is broken, and I have no way of finding out anything about you to make sure you’re not lying or insane. And, if you’re telling the truth and we are from a video game from the world you’re from, then there’s the biggest possibility that you know all our weaknesses and you can kill us or at least attack us and steal from us after your arm is healed. Plus, I just figured out that Sora, my friend and one that likes to day dream all day, was right about one of his crazy fantasies. I’m tired, confused, and I’m angry. I understand that you probably feel the same, waking up in a world where your video game characters are real and you’re separated from your family, and you’re wondering why it’s you that has to go through this, regardless on your video game characters being real, but you have to understand that this is hard on me, too.” He finally finished. I frowned. I felt tired, angry and confused, too. And it was because of all those reasons he listed off. But, what he said made sense. He was probably upset, too. He just figured out he was from a world where he’s known as a video game character, and that his best friend was right, even though he probably wasn’t even trying. I frowned.
