I felt the cold instantly when I woke up. I groaned.
“Riku, you ass, I don’t want to get up…” I said, trying to feel around for a blanket, but opened one eye tiredly and saw Riku holding it while in his uniform.
“Get up, moron. It’s your first day of school. Besides, Sora’s actually not going to drive us today. This time, we’re walking.” I woke up and saw the clock read 7:38. I sighed, dangling my legs over the bed.
“Geez…At least it’s later than yesterday.” He shrugged.
“Sora needed me to help him with homework. Not my fault. Also not my fault you’re not a morning person.” He said, as I sighed. Then, I thought about something. If we were walking, then what happened to Sora?
“…So, why can’t Sora drive us? Even though I’m not complaining. He drives like a freaking maniac.” I said, as he shrugged.
“Sora got detention yesterday from Miss Farron. He fell asleep in her class and has morning detention. But, hey, even though I’m sure Sora’s complaining, I’m not. More sleep for me.” He said, as I smiled.
“Such a good friend you are.”
“Yup. I should win the friend of the year award.” He said, joking along and laughing. He left as I sighed.
“Man, I hate mornings…” I muttered again, getting up to get changed.
……
After eating some breakfast, and deciding to ‘borrow’ Riku’s pants (Since Kairi’s skirt obviously didn’t fit me and I’d rather not show off my panties to the entire student body), we were off. Riku looked over at me with a raised brow.
“…Question.”
“Shoot.”
“Why are you wearing my pants, which are obviously too big on you?”
“Because then you’d question why I’m wearing Kairi’s skirt, which was obviously too small on me.” I replied back with, as he nodded.
“Right…good plan.” He said, as I crossed my arms.
“Obviously.” He scoffed, shoving me, as I saw a smile on his face.
“Don’t get cocky.” I shook my head, laughing a little myself. I looked ahead and smiled. After a few minutes of walking, we were nearing an intersection and saw the crosswalk, along with a familiar face which caused me to smile.
“Hey, look, it’s Zexion.” I said, as Riku looked, seeing that it was in fact Zexion. He was reading a book with a lollipop stick hanging out his mouth, moving around. He looked to be waiting for the light to say he can walk. Riku nodded.
“Yeah, whatta ya know. Hey, Zexion!” He called out, Zexion looking up and turning. He gave a small smile and nodded, taking the lollipop out.
“Riku. {Name}. Nice to see you in the morning. Sora had detention, I take it.” He said, but looked toward Riku for an answer to the last question. Riku nodded.
“You know it.” Zexion nodded, putting the lollipop back in his mouth.
“Right, I see. So, {Name}, your first day here, right?” He asked, easily talking even with it in his mouth. I nodded with a smile.
“Yup, that’s right. Not looking forward to History, though.” I admitted, Zexion shrugging.
“It’s not too bad. Depending on if you’re on Miss Farron’s good side. And, since you’re new, you just can’t mess it up.” He said, shrugging, as I sighed.
