We made it home with no problems and no Seifer. We walked in and he looked at me.

“Well, tomorrow’s your first day. You’re screwed.” He said, walking toward the kitchen as I followed, closing the door.

“I am not. The teachers seem nice and the curriculum is easy.” He rolled his eyes, setting the boxes on the counter. He grabbed two plates, tossing me one.

“Not that. I’m talking about my friends. They’re going to start questioning you. Either that, or the populars will try to recruit you. You already caught Zack’s attention, you hang around Axel, you seem popular with the teachers, and you’re new, meaning they think you don’t know any better. So, we have some problems.” I nodded. I guess that made sense. He took out one of the boxes, and I looked at all the food. Dear God, it looked great. I smiled.

“Wow~” He chuckled.

“Obviously, your school’s food sucked.” I nodded.

“It was awful. I’m not kidding you. This one time, I got food poisoning from a hot dog. A hot dog, Riku. It’s full of meaty goodness.” I said, as he laughed at that.

“You sound like Sora.” I smiled.

“And?” He rolled his eyes and handed me a big spork to put my food on. I saw Fettuccini Alfredo. It’s been a while since I’ve actually had some. I smiled and put a ton on my plate.

“I might not finish it all, but, whatever.” I said, as Riku rolled his eyes, eating a breadstick.

“So, we need to be more careful with Kairi.” He said, as I frowned, sitting down.

“Yeah…she just asked for a ton of info.” He nodded.

“She’ll do that. But, it’s because she’s wondering why, all of a sudden, I let someone stay with us. I’m not exactly known for my trust.” He said, as I nodded.

“Right…I guess that’s understandable.” He shrugged.

“Yeah. Still, what have you been telling people? Because I can guess that most of them would ask.” I sighed.

“Well, I told them that I was kicked out of my house, and it was because I wanted to travel around the world while they wanted me to stay and go to a prestigious college, and that I lived in Radiant Garden.” I told him, as he nodded.

“Okay. I guess we can work with that. Anything else?”

“I told them my parents traveled a lot.” He nodded.

“Hmm…did your parents do that actually?” I nodded.

“Yeah, they do that a lot. They’re archeologists, and they normally travel to a ton of places. I stay with my grandma a lot, too, since she’s closer to us.” He nodded.

“Right…okay, anything else?” I nodded.

“I told that, though they travel, they never tell me where they go. That’s also true, so, thankfully, I won’t feel guilty about that.” He nodded.

“Huh. Right. That’s really convenient, though. My mom’s going to Radiant Garden for her job. She could go to tell your ‘parents’ that she’s housing you. So, that way, everyone will know that at any given moment, you can go home. So, if you do end up leaving, then I could say that they picked you up. So, there we go.” I frowned.

“But what happens if someone ends up going to Radiant Garden and tries looking for me?” He thought about it.

“Hmm…I’ll tell them you moved. So that your parents can keep you at bay. To where, I’m not sure.” He said, as I nodded.
