Chapter 25: Graduation!

"And now our valedictorian, Alexander Hamilton!"

A sea of applause erupted from the crowd as he realised something

"Shit"

He whispered 

"What's wrong Alexandre?"

"I'm pretty sure I left my speech on the kitchen counter"

"What are you gonna do?"

"Wing it?"

"You don't sound confident"

"This is gonna be good"

How the fuck did I fuck it up this bad?

Oh gods I'm in deep shit

This morning in the Washington household

"Alex?!"

"What!"

"Where is my shampoo?"

"Did you check under the cabinet?!"

"Yes of course I did- oh never mind I found it!"

Fuck this I need another cup of coffee, he thought as he set down his speech on the table and began pouring the liquid when he got a call.

"Angie?"

"We just wanted to wish you good luck on your speech!"

"Thanks guys"

"WHERE THE FUCK IS THE HAIR STRAIGHTENER?"

"NOTHING ABOUT YOU IS STRAIGHT WHY WOULD YOU EXPECT TO FIND IT"

"AHHH, CAN WE PLEASE STAY FUCKING CALM AND STOP YELLING!?"

"Hey Alex, is Eliza I gotta go before my sisters rip each other's heads off"

"Alright then, bye"

And chaos in Alexander's own home ensued as he received more phone calls wishing him luck and ending in children screaming.

"Teachers, students and staff members, you are all part of this school. And now your students are leaving it. I am often credited for my writing, but instead I shall say my official final words to you all. Goodbye friends, time went quick, high school... you can suck my dick"

A wave of laughter and clapping washed over the crowd as they stood to applaud him. He received countless words of agreement from his friends. Most of the teachers looked horrified, apart from his favourite who gave him a nod of approval before taking his seat once more. 

"Uhh well thank you for that Mr Hamilton?"

The ceremony ended in short time after that as cheers and goodbyes filled the place. Words of congratulations and happiness were filled throughout the air.

"I'm proud of you son"

Hamilton stood steady and looked Washington in the eyes,

"Thanks dad"

Small tears welled in his eyes as he kissed his wife's hand and watched his son go off into the distance to celebrate with his other children. A sense of pride hung over them as they walked over. Congratulating them once more before taking off with their new generation to raise.

"Fuck, it's really over"

"Huh"

"No more bullshit"

"So that's what winging it was lexi?"

"I don't even know anymore"

"I found a gay strip club nearby, you guys wanna go tonight?"

"Yeah obviously!"

"Woohoo"

"Can't wait!"

Alex took a step back, glancing at his his brothers and sister, his friends, his boyfriend and happily thought to himself 'I'm glad I made it'

And on went the night of Laf stripping, getting drunk, setting a trash can on fire and repeatedly fucking in the Schuyler mansion.

But as we know time goes on, they moved onto college and in their second year Martha, johns sister got married. In their junior year Laf and Herc got engaged as well as Burr and Theo. Then came John and Alex on their graduation night. They were once again at the same gay strip club when Alex asked John to step out for a little. They walked through the gentle rain and to a secluded place in the park, which is where Alex got down on one knee and proposed. Then came Maria and Peggy, JC and Angie and then lastly Martha and Eliza. John and Alex were we'd one year after college and adopted their 5 year old son, Philip two years later. They all were wed and lived and laughed. Alex got a job working as a lawyer in the biggest firm in the city alongside Burr and Jefferson. John studied marine biology while selling and commissioning painting and art pieces that would go on to sell for thousands. Eliza and Angie started their own business in neuropsychology. Peggy made a gaming channel and gained over ten million subscribers. Herc became a designer with Laf often helping him.

And so they stayed close and let their children grow closer and every morning when Alex wakes up he thinks what could have happened if he saw his now husband as dangerous just like everyone else did and how he's glad he made the right choice.

And that's life.
